Y’all that have season tickets, sell them or drop them. There will always be someone willing to buy tickets to football games, no matter the AD, the coach or the players. I live too far away to have season tickets but I make damn sure I make a trip to Knoxville with my kids every year (including this year) that goes way above the football part of it. Family traditions, past memories, making new memories will always over rule the AD or HC. I will gladly buy from anyone willing to sell for my traditions to continue. Go Vols

work for the uni don't you? Else you wouldn't be wasting time defending them.
Not defending anyone. Just saying I’m still going to every game I can. I’ll take his or her season tickets. Nope I live in middle Tennessee and have no affiliation with the university other than being a fan

Ancient tradition is what created this mess. Lot of poor and hungry could use that money you are throwing away on the rich.

Simple fact is that going to the games is about more than sending a message to the administration. I live in the NW and my boys are just getting old enough to travel to Knoxville and enjoy a game. I don't care what the team's record is it will be about introducing them to the game-day experience with fellow Vol fans, the atmosphere and watching the team running through the T etc. It is about supporting the student athlete's and making Neyland a bucket list experience for many football fans.

If you want to send the administration a message start donating meaningful $s they will miss vs. with cancelling season tickets. When they know your name and call to thank you for your donation you have hit the sweet spot. Tell them this was a one time gift unless they get serious about winning again. Then you can rally all the other whales who are split down the middle like a group of high school kids and try and convince them to do the same. THEN, you will have the influence to make meaningful change within the program. I wish you luck.

Screw that. I’m glad Coach Pruitt is coming back. Not gonna stop supporting Just because the Drama Queens in the fan think i should. We need continuity, and if he wins next year you’ll all be back on his jock like you were the end of last season...
Hey Phil! Continuity, that’s laugh out loud funny. I mean everyone Is entitled to spend money anyway they see fit but to say your happy he’s coming back? I think we found the one. Geeeeze

Most people can’t understand this even though I’ve tried telling them this all season. We will know what happens based on next years performance
You might be 100 percent correct. But paying fans do not have to buy into that. That stadium and game day is not what it used to be and most of us have better things to do with our time and money. Hopefully, you can get the UGA and USC fans to buy your tickets to watch the beat downs.

I definitely think attendance will be down next year. Poor product plus COVID has caused people to find other things to do in the fall and gotten them out of the habit of going to games every weekend.

When have sporting events ever been an investment?
being able to afford season tickets and a donation, is seen like a step up in one's social status. Then the burden is passed on to the next gen because of tradition.

Still doesn't make it an investment. If you are fortunate enough to have that disposable income available for the tickets and donation you are still taking on a liability. If that liability, in your mind, raises your social standing thats another set of issues altogether. You may want to forgo the tickets and spend the money on therapy.

You would be better off arguing that the poor on field performance is killing re-sale value so you can't sell them for a profit but most folks are not buying season tickets to sell them.

Don’t give this administration reason to keep around a bad coach, you can support the team and players by watching on TV. The University doesn’t need the money they are getting enough from TV contracts and other sponsorships. We as a fanbase have only one way to hurt them and that is by poor attendance. Sadly by next year the next pool of coaching candidates to choose from will probably not be as prevalent as it is now, but at least Pruitt and Fulmer will hopefully be gone.

If we somehow beat Florida next year than I was wrong and I’ll gladly eat crow..

ZZZZZzz

Lol boomer I know what an investment is but by you buying a ticket you are the helping the university so what im trying to tell you is don’t do that to show your disapproval unless you are okay with 3-7 seasons?

Ha ha, not a boomer but nice try. Your incorrect use of the word investment gave no one reason to believe you understood what one was/is. Buying tickets does support the University but again, not in a meaningful way that would promote change as you have surmised. So you are either ignorant of how to facilitate the change you seek or naive enough to think there wouldn't be someone right behind the ticket holder to buy them; perhaps both.

We will go with both kid.
