bray isn't ready, if you couldn't tell that from the UT Martin game idk what you're thinking. on the other note, ever notice there are no lanes to run on kick off retruns?

Or try and add some other running plays except run up the middle, then run up the middle on the other side.

And work on 3rd down D, waaaay to soft, it killed us today. This is tough i know but give CDD time to get his own players, i do see potential in this staff.

It pains me to have such a clueless fanbase. Simms is improving and will do fine for the next two years. This team showed signs of being passable in the SEC, yet everyone seems to want to judge them by late 90's standards.

Thought tackling was much better than last week. Marked improvement.
I agree, we really need to do some work on special teams.
Youngsters hopefully will improve.
We're not the only ones that have been suckered by Meyer on the fake punt. He's done it against top 10 teams.
I was very satisfied with this performance. Played all 60 minutes.
Just a few young player mistakes to iron out.

And working Bray with the 1st team. Simms isn't going to improve...period.

Everyone said that about Crompton. Simms showed flashes. Give him some time. I think he played a lot better today than against Oregon..even with the 2 picks. He got better as the game went on.

Let's see. He's lost to 2 top 10 teams.
Next week he gets a breather and throws 4 TDs.
Then he gets to play the number 2 defense in the nation.
Do you really, actually honestly think that Bray would be doing any better?

Bad special teams play is a TN tradition. Is it possible for TN to have good special teams? Seriously, it's got to get better doesn't it? Our tackling is a problem but I think it was a serious problem last year (probably even worse last year). It's as if these guys were never shown good sound fundamentals. I think our DQ will improve that problem though.

They announced that UF has given up 1! punt return yard this year. That stat is impressive, but their total punt return yards last year was stupid - can't remember the exact number. THIS is CUM winning the 3rd phase of the game.

So I agree, is it possible for UT to have good special teams play? This could have made the difference today, what was their avg starting field position, anyway... and nevermind the backbreaking fake punt.

I have been overall impressed with CDD so far, but if our special teams play is not well above our average opponent soon, it will be a major fail.

Bray would get split like treated wood if he tried to stand back there. Even if he got the pass off he'd still get blasted and with such a young OL there is almost no way around that.

Has anyone considered who the QB coach is? That's why they suck. They hired a nobody from MEMPHIS. They are NEVER going to improve. We are getting the results all over the field for the crappy hires......

I'd rather see the coaches work on the O-Line. 22 rushes for 29 yards and 6 sacks (7 if you count the intentional grounding) is not going to cut it.
