I would want to play wherever I go, but I would not want to play for a junk team.

So my decision would be the best team that I can go to and get playing time.

It's all about the relationship with the coaches that has developed over the years. Got to get to them early. Another biggie is if they got friends there.

I wasn't a highly saught after recruit but had options. Made my decision on the program/coaches reputation. Had produced a few all-Americans and numerous all-conference athletes. Also gave me the chance to compete in D-1 against the best in the country which was important, wanted to prove I could compete with the best.

As someone who made the decision I can tell you it boils down to the compfort level with the people and staff on campus.

Facilities are nice but most schools have them.

Tradition is big, you want a history of winning.

Next level potential, does a school put players in the pros.

Playing time will come.

For me it was people, pro players, tradition, playing time then facilities.

That's right, because we all know recruits will never come to UT unless we endorse mediocrity 100%

I don't believe I ever said anything about "endorsing mediocrity" but to call the fan support on here "great" is an incredible stretch when it comes to individual players.

I'm fine with constructive criticism but that doesn't go on in here here and 90% us(myself included)have no place to criticize a college athlete anyway because we have no idea what it's like and what it takes.

The conference is the most important. Tn plays the best teams and makes the
most money because of the SEC.

The number 1 reason a recruit would be the relationship between the recruit and his family with the coaching staff and academics.

The number 1 reason why a recruit could change their mind? A fanbase calling for the heads of the coaching staff and the unknown of their future with the next HC.
