Playoffs Thread-First Round.

Well as a black man I personally understand pulling the occasional race card, but hills card is nothing but dust due to overuse. That's why she can get to STEPPIN.

She does make a point from time to time.

There are times to pull it but Vick for instance, I personally love animals and thought it was despicable that he was having fun at the expense of torturing them. Why even play the race card when there is a backlash against him? There would be a back lash against any famous person who did that. It would be like the Boston bombers and playing the Muslim card when in reality people we'd be upset over anyone doing it. She's pretty much just dumb lol.

Here's an example...

Michael Vick and Cam Newton still deal with black quarterback issue - ESPN

She makes so many assumptions in her article it's absurd. She just assumed that if Jimmy Clausen acted like a punk nobody would care. She's basing that on nothing. She claims people like Birdman are given a free pass while referring to it as being a free spirt. I've never had that view, I've thought he was a drug addict that's trashy. She acts like people don't think Tim Tebow is a sucky passer when in reality everyone does believe that. And so on...

Tebow might get somewhat of a pass because he plays off being a Christian that does charity work while people don't like Vick for a number of his transgressions. Namely fighting dogs, funding the dog kennel, funding an illegal gambling ring, taking a bottle on a plane with a hidden compartment that had weed residue, being sued by a woman that he paid off for knowingly giving her herpes, a suspect being shot outside his party etc. But, that doesn't change the fact Vick's not a very good passer and most people are in agreement that Tebow is a putrid passer as well. Tebow is not given a free pass when it comes to his poor passing and people laugh about it all the time. Save 3 seasons where Vick threw 57tds-27ints, in 7 other seasons he threw 66tds-64ints. He has the added presence of being able to run and that makes him a good player but it doesn't change the fact for most of his career he's been a fairly horrible passer when passing is generally what you expect out of your QB.

And you notice she picks Jimmy Clausen to compare Cam Newton to and not Ben Roethlisberger who everyone was in fact angry with. Jimmy Clausen has a squeaky clean image and despite Newton being involved with selling stolen laptops and potentially being paid to play at Auburn, he was still taken number one. Vince Young's time with the Titans he got in bar fights and was thought to be a suicide risk. If white players were doing this such as Ben Roethlisberger, it would be scrutinized. But she just points the finger that it has to be racist when the players she's using as an example have checkered pasts. You don't see anybody saying squat about RG3 because he hasn't done anything. And while Cam Newton was scrutinized for things in his past, I haven't seen many people attack his play on the field because he can actually pass. Vick, Young and Tebow... those guys can't pass. And I was one of the biggest VY supporters out there. I also think Rusty Smith is hot garbage. If Locker ends up flaming out, I'll feel the same.

Anyways... I didn't mean to get into that and it turned out to be more of a rant because she just baits people. The sad part is, I don't think it's intentional. She sits there and does it topic after topic. She genuinely believes it to be true. There are always going to be some racists in the world but it goes both ways and believing Michael Vick is a below average passer shouldn't be grounds to point your finger that it's racist. 66tds-64ints in 7 of his 10 seasons kind of proves the point that most of his career he hasn't been a very good passer.

Should have just left it at that I agree with you and don't like her lol.

OKC 6
Spurs 6
Nuggets 7
Grizzlies 6

Heat 5
Celtics 6
Pacers 6
Bulls 6

You saw that Noah is out for the Nets series, right?

No Rose, no Noah and Gibson is playing injured I believe.

If the Bulls pull it out, that would be epic failure on the part the Nets imo. I know they've played strong all season but Brook Lopez, Deron Williams, Joe Johnson and Gerald Wallace should prevail over what the Bulls will be trotting out on the floor imo.

Well, nevermind.

ESPN changed the article. They said he claimed to be out for the entire Nets series and now they're saying doubtful for game 1. Regardless... if it's bad enough to miss game one, I don't know how good he'll be when he returns a day or two later. We'll see.

Still not really a huge believer in the Nets

Yeah, I don't know. They just seem more talented on paper to me. Noah(injured)/Nazr, Boozer/Gibson(injured) with RIP as one of your shooting guards and Robinson/Teague as your point guards. Nazr is useless. Robinson is a midget and is the only one on the team that can create his own shot. Teague is a rookie that's terrible. Bulls do play great defense but I just don't feel like the team they're left with at the moment is built to get out of the first round. When Deng is hands down your best player, how good are you really? Especially when at times your best player is 5'9 and making the league minimum.

I mean, I wouldn't be surprised if they advanced because of the defense they play but I don't know. Pacers play in the same division so I've watched them all season and they don't scream playoff team. Then again, they did hang in there at 5 right between 4 Nets. But yeah, on paper you can see their names are pretty poor in comparison to the Nets. I can see why people pick the Bulls but I really thought Noah was out for the series and that would be a massive blow.

Grizz in one. Clips throw in the towel, knowing they have no chance. OK, a brother can dream, can't he?

The starters for Grizz and Clippers are neck and neck. With the playoffs starting, Del Negro will have to tighten his rotation. The X-Factor in this series is both team's benches. The Grizz need one of Bayless, Pondexter, or DA to step up and be the leader off the bench.

Ed. Davis.

If the Grizz make it past LA, I really like our chances of coming out of the west.

If they get past Flop City, they'll prey on the Spurs. The Spurs are beat up and LA will push them to the brink.

Exactly!! I've been saying this for years, In 2013 if the Spurs play a 7 game series, they will lose in the next round.

But if the clippers beat the Grizz, the Spurs will have it easy. The Spurs can do whatever they want with the Clippers.
