OU's D has been on its heels most of the day as Tulsa has taken the fight to them the way I hoped UT would. Right now, they have over 600 yds of offense vs the 254 UT had last week. How do you explain that?
So, am I right and this is just a game management philosophy problem with Jones being too conservative?
Is it his scheme?
Is it players and player development?
Do you think Tulsa is more talented than UT considering their OL isn't getting abused, receivers are getting open, and RB's are having consistent success?
I will say honestly for the first time I'm beginning to question Jones' offensive scheme. It doesn't get players open. It doesn't seem to help OL's open holes or keep a pocket. It seems to be very, very easy to defend.
So what is your opinion... or excuse... for Tulsa basically raping a D that UT couldn't move the ball on for 3 quarters?
