Agreed. Should have played more than Brown last year. Not knocking Brown, as I hope and believe he can rival Jamaal Lewis, but Poole was a better back last year.

He is also known for his moves...he just doesn't have to use them as much when he's faster than everybody...

Ted Ginn is a straight-line guy. Guys like Devin Hester and DeSean Jackson are not.

Thank you. Jackson has always had moves. Ginn has moves but his confidence has been shaken for some reason. Jackson made our team look silly with his shakes. You don't just lose moves like that. Donte Stallworth is more of a straight-line guy to me.

Look out for redshirt freshman Eric Gordon. This kid was a stud coming out of HS, i played against him, and the guy is simply a playmaker. Wouldn't be surprised to here his name quite often come spring and fall camps.

I really can't disagree with that in the least. With all the talent at WR we have coming in, i really don't think we need him on that side of the ball. And i played with him in high school, and i can say that he was one hell of a DB(he played both ways, well all 3 if you count holding for extra points and field goals). Either way, he'll produce from anywhere on the field if given the chance.

Ya he is known for his speed, and he is extremely shifty. As is a guy like Devin Hester. Deion Sanders was a straightline speed guy so comparing Zach Rogers who is straightline fast at best to Desean Jackson who I still think has half of the 2006 defenses cleats stuck in the turf at Neyland and then getting upset about it is kinda ridiculous.

But seriously, everyone is listing all of these 2010 recruits, but I don't think many of them will get valuable playing time. Probably in the need areas (on both lines) and I think Clark will have a shot to start at CB, but I don't expect to see a lot of true freshmen on the field.

I think the surprises we'll need most are on the O-line and with Stephens at QB. I'll be happy if Stephens can pull an Erik Ainge-type year: 200 yards, 2TD's, and an INT per game. If he can be that solid, we'll go a long way.

Bryce. I'll even go out on a limb and say he will lead the SEC in rushing.

Yes, very good safety in highschool. I would say that he needs to put on a few pounds to make this transition.

About his "athleticism", if you are strictly talking about juking ability, then he has good moves but not great. Not on the same level as Jackson. If you watch his ESPN video, he makes some good spin moves, and first cuts. He also has great leaping ability.

Marlon Walls. By all accounts, the kid is a beast. He's going to get a ton of snaps because our D-Line is so thin. I look for him to have a huge impact in his first year of playing.

Rogers can play DB too.
Chris Walker and Ben Martin will have the best year of their UT careers this next year under Chuck Smith.

Da'Rick should get some early PT but Milton will be a pleasant surprise in the redzone.

Hood should lock down an OL spot.

Montori Hughes will probably be huge for us next season. I remember reading the comments that Albert Haynesworth made about him being a monster. Couple that with Chuck Smith and no Dan Williams and I think he is poised to break out big time.

I wasn't comparing him to Jackson as in talent level. I was simply stating that he might have straightline speed, but that doesn't mean he can't make the big play happen.
