I think one big one will be Dallas Thomas.... He needs to keep gaining weight but I think he has a chance to make some huge strides at anchoring down a guard spot on an oline that could use a few pleasant surprises.

I also think Darren Myles Jr. has the opportunity to be a very special player next year as well. He will be a good one as long as he settles in and realizes that he doesn't have to be the next EB, because there is no next EB.

I haven't heard a lot about him, but with Rogan leaving and Vinson gone, we NEED Eric Gordon to step in and play some meaningful snaps this year.

I think Myles will be good, Hughes will be much improved as well. I also think that Poole is going to be a pleasant surprise and is going to push for the starting running back position, but it will be a committee either way IMO.

Zach Rogers, I may get blasted for this, but the kid has serious speed. I honestly think the previous staff overlooked him a little because he was not a "Kiffin recruit". Everything coming out of practices leading up to the last season were positive about him. Even with all the stud receivers we have coming in, I think he will find his niche and make some big plays for us. White Lightening!

I know its a stretch but i hope we are suprised by the play of both lines this year.

That said, i hope Corey Miller eats some tackles alive.

I liked the way Poole ran in the bowl game. He ran with anger in his blood, i hope that carries over.

I'm hoping Marlon Walls. If he's going to get up to 285 if he better be ready plug the middle with Montori! Plus the guy just looks like a mean bastard

I think that Chuck Smith is going to have Marlon Walls and Montori Hughes ready to go! I think our entire DL will suprise most people and really be the linchpin for a suprise, strong season that leads to us getting some top notch recruits.

Tauren Poole, not really a surprise to me, but this kid knows how to run. He looks a lot like hardesty and has the ability to fall forward as he gets hit, which is a plus. He's constantly pushing forward, I like his skill, he just needs to grow up a little when he's not getting the ball enough, not act like a child.

I agree here hugely because Coach CSmith is gonna have those boys head hunting for qbs.

"Sacks are better than sex"- Chuck Smith

I agree with the thoughts on Hood. Something tells me he can develop into a good lineman for us. I also think Anthony Anderson could surprise at CB.

Coach Dooley is big on special teams. (So we hear) With that being said, I believe surprise players will emerge at kick return and punt return spots. We're very luck to have some really good players at talent position (RB/WR) and a few of them could inflict some damage on special teams.

I like Eric Gordon, Z. Rogers, Poole, Oku, and even D. Rogers or Meline at those special team spots.

I think Eric Gordon will be a player in the return game. If not this year, maybe next.

I think Teague may become a difference maker at corner, if he flips to that side of the ball. -My two cents anyway.
