Players who whine need to be shown this video and see they have no reason to make excuses. I plan to watch it every morning. If you've seen it already, I apologize:

i wouldn't waste my time. judging from all of her 10 posts, all she knows how to do is talk about creer, and even then she's not that accurate.

and there's more where that came from....
In high school we had workouts at 6am 4 times a week during the summer. Some of us were bitching and moaning about it, so the coach takes us to the nursing home, and we saw all the elder people that couldn't get around and didn't have anyone. It sent us a great message. After that we started volunteering at the nursing home and came closer as a team.
It's the same philosophy the Marine Corps uses. "You have to break them in order to rebuild them"
I've seen the tactic turn the weakest people into stone cold fighting machines. Yes, the first part is horrible, but over time, the players will get used to it, and it will be second nature. I guarantee it will make the team more tight-knit, and better at their job.
Some of the hardline totalitarianism lived on in the East, even after the Iron Curtain fell.Sometimes the full name of such republics can be deceptive: having "people's" or "democratic" in the name of a country can, in some cases bear no relation with the concepts of democracy (neither "representative" nor "direct") that grew in the West. In fact, the phrases "People's Republic" and/or "Democratic Republic" were part of the official titles of many Marxist states during the Cold War, including East Germany, North Korea, Mongolia, and today's People's Republic of China.

I'm really confused. I thought the US was a democracy. What is the difference?
We had a choice to go at 530 AM or 5 PM and since mostly everyone on our team worked we almost always were at the 530 AM ones. I also had position drills and film throughout the summer at 4PM which was a pain to get off of work for.Ehh, 6 is a little early during the summer. We did 7:30 in the morning. Either way, it still sucked balls.

For optimum results, replace a players' coach with an iron ass. Then when the time comes, replace the iron ass with a players' coach.
Having two of the same type in a row rarely pays dividends.
