Seems like a number of players (Stokes, Mcrae, Richardson) are sticking up for Cuonzo on this one and I can't say that I blame them. The way a majority of our fans have treated this coach and his family is pretty despicable. There is no doubt he was pushed out by these idiots.

This isn't the first time though fans have caused issues though for our sports teams. I remember well the Jonathan Crompton death threats while he was struggling.

We need to treat our coaches and players families with respect. It's alright to complain when things aren't going well but there is a line you just don't cross and this fanbase has done it on multiple occasions.

Every fan base has irrational people. The fact that peoples feelings (on either side) got hurt over a joke of a petition is humorous. Our society is full of thin skinned people and those that will ***** and moan at everything. This applies to our ex coach and some of our fans.

Most people outside of Tennessee fans side with Martin on this one. They think Tennessee fans have absurdly unrealistic expectations.

There were several national writers writing articles about bringing back pearl or replacing Zo.

Our players played in front of the biggest crowds this side of bluegrass country.

But if they want to piss on their fans in favor of their coach, that's their perogative. Maybe 10-15 years from now they can stand in Cuonzo's living room and unfurl a banner, should they want to commemorate their time as college bb players.

We have perhaps the best fan base in America for both major sports. We have sucked in both at times for YEARS and still we sit here ranking in the top for attendance in each. These coaches get paid millions to do something that they love and the fans get bent over time and time in regards to what it costs to attend these events and our fan base has not gotten the returns for investment in either sport for awhile save for this last NCAA run after barely qualifying for tournament.

So now Zo gets to play with players he didn't recruit. . .again.

Someday, maybe, he will have a team of players, all of whom, he did recruit.

Championship! (s/k)

Cuonzo is a great guy. Time will tell how good of a coach he is but he does things the right way. Hart spoke a lot about finding the right fit. Butch is the right fit. Cuonzo was not and its obvious.

Maybe some of that is unfair, but that's life in the SEC. Either you can handle it or you can't. It was just unfair expectations or following Bruce either. It was playing style, arguing with the refs, not showing emotion, etc. The fans here will give a coach that plays the part the benefit of the doubt.

Look where Cuonzo came from - Purdue. Gene Keady is regarded as one of the greats, yet in 25 years never took his team to a Final 4. He went to 3 Sweet 16's and 2 Elite 8's in 25 years. Tennessee has been to 3 Sweet 16's and an Elite 8 since 2007. It's obvious that Cuonzo isn't used to the type of fans or expectations in the SEC.

Instead they should worry about placating an insane fanbase with the IQ of a domesticated turkey? That will get them a lot in 10-15 years as well.

ESPN hates us.

F them.

we went from a high energy winning coach who painted himself orange, loved the fans who returned the favor to a mediocre stand-offish under performer, except for the very end, coach.

Meh.

Perfect example of a sad part of the fan base.

who cares what others think if it's not accurate. Miller saw UT play for a few games and made his opinion. That's fine. Most had seen enough in 2.5 yrs and could see what was coming the next 1-2 to form an opinion based on close to 100 games vs at their peak for 10
