AJ and Herman led a players only meeting Sunday. Basically said those that didn't want to be on the team and give their all needed to quit the team. Hood said the teams cares about Dooley and that he loves Tennessee and they felt responsible for not doing their part in ensuring Dooley stays the head coach at UT. Full article on VQ for those that want and can read the entire article. I wanted to post this mainly for those that say Dooley has lost the team. Not the case. Go Vols!

"People are going to say what they're going to say, fans are going to say what they want to say. I don't pay any attention to it. All that matters is what's in this circle right here. We have each others' backs; we have coach Dooley's back. We love coach Dooley. There's no other coach I'd rather play for right now."

to all you morons who think that the fans negativity doesn't weight on them, go read this article.

Remember the titans style huh? We called one of these in high school, when we had bad coaching and good players. Guess what? It didn't do anything. I don't think another team meeting is what's needed in this situation. JMO.

So that means that Dooley has already talked to them about being let go. I do feel bad for the players but they deserve better.

Kind of reminds of the way Fulmer went out. Looks like Dooley is gone.

The good news....I don't think Dooley will get a full page add in the Sentinel with support of former players....

News Sentinel ads are expensive. Fulmer had plenty of NFL players who had plenty of coin to throw in.

When the team changes for the better, the fans will, too. Fan frustration is a direct result of team performance. I hope everybody-- players, coaches, fans, media -- can find the fun again. The players have the power to make it happen.

We have a bunch of crybaby fans who want what they want and they want it NOW.
Dont try to reason with them. They would be calling for DD's head if he had beaten MSU.
They will call for his head if we somehow manage to get to 8-4 this year.
Anything less than perfection is unacceptable to them. Perhaps they should look in the mirror.............

And I agree that a lot of it is the frustration of watching a proud program take so long to rebuilt; perhaps they arent young enough to remember the late 70s and early 80s.......
Say what you want about the 90s but they ruined us as fans..........

Unfortunately, Titanic 2.0 has struck it's own iceberg. The crew can rally behind their Captain all they want...but the ship is still going to sink...again.

Go Vols.
