Rico McCoy gets a little wild. I love it.

“If he’s confident in this team and wants to talk some trash, we’ll back him. We back him 100 percent. I don’t have a problem with it,” McCoy said. “The team doesn’t have a problem with it because we know we’re working our (rear) off. ...We’re not allowed to do stuff like that, but (shoot), we’ll back you. We’re here for you, coach. Go ahead, do what you want. We’re working our (rears) off, we’re going to be ready come the season for anything. That’s how we feel.”

“I absolutely love it,” receiver Gerald Jones said. “I absolutely love it. Usually it’s a player that runs off in the media and says something about a team that sparks everything, like (former Florida linebacker) Brandon Spikes did last year about us. But when you got your head coach really firing it up between the two teams, it shouldn’t do nothing but get you pumped and get you ready for the game. It fires me up. I love that he’s taking shots at Florida and he’s saying things.”

Great article. Kiffin is wiping the slate clean for our players. His tactics are a bit of a gamlbe, but the payoff can be wonderful. Hope he delivers.

Awesome article, I just hope the players keep this attitude through the first two games as well and head into Gainesville 2-0 ready to bash some gators!!!

Under the Gerald Jones quote it says "Former Florida Linebacker Brandon Spikes." I thought Spikes will be back for the Gators this coming year?

Well I guess just talking smack to the Gators. He will be held accountable for his words. If he loses then he'll lose a lot of credibility to his team and the fan base, and he will be the goat for the media. If he wins he'll look like a freaking genius.

Me might not win but Come saturday these two teams will declare war on each other and it will prolly be a heck ova game.
They gonna pay to play this game.

My Favorite:

I can see where your coming from but i dont see him losing any credibility if he loses to the defending national champs in his first year. Nobody expects us to win so the comments are really only gonna big deal if we win. We lose, they say told ya so and move on to the next story. We win, they replay it over and over and over on ESPN

remember when G.Jones was popping off last year before the UF game, yah i dont think he will do that again
