I still see nothing in that thread that makes me understand why everyone jokes about the guy? He was a 3* from a hs in tennessee.... ok so i'm lost still.

Of course he hasn't met with Wilks yet. He values his life too much to intrude in his cave after the summer solstice. Why do you think we wanted Coach O so badly? Now that Coach O is here, he can communicate with Wilks in his native tounge.

one of these posters was really high on Rod Wilks when he was being recruited. The poster was from Smyrna. He talked up Rod Wilks so much that it turned into a joke with the other posters...If Superman can't do it, Wilks can. That is the basic joke.
