some people should be blocked as they are idiots or trolls.....

it's nobodies job to put up with fans horsesh*t. I complain as loud as anybody on Volnation, but no college kid should wake up and have to read some crap on Twitter from some 40 year old mouth breather living vicariously through him after a vodka fueled Saturday of disappointment.

Exactly. Especially from fans whose probably never played a down of football in their life. He has every right to block these kind of idiots on twitter.

Those who have accomplished little and rightly have low self esteem are uplifted by putting words on a screen that they personally created. As they admire their masterpiece and pump their chest out, they are clueless as to what a total failure it is they are sending out for others to see. This includes VlolNation posts and twitter and other social media.

WE SHOULD BE CAREFUL WHAT WE POST AS OTHERS WILL JUDGE US BY IT!

As a former Tennessee alum once wrote, "WE SHOULD BE CAREFUL WHO WE PRETEND TO BE BECAUSE THAT IS WHO WE ARE." (tell me who and you get a like)

It's a personal moral failure as well as poor management for Butch to allow his players on social media during such a critical year.

Nothing good can come from social media, ever. This should be standard policy by now.

People who think negative e tweets and posts only happen at UT are truly delusional. These things happen to every big time program at the college and professional level. Deal with it and win football games.

How tough am I supposed to think you are if you can't take heat for piss poor performance?

If you can't block a follower how am I supposed to believe you are smart enough to block a defender?

Anybody with any football acumen knows the coaches are truly the real idiots here. This coaching staff is the laughing stock of all coaching staffs. These guys are freaking morons. They have looked elementary every week out this year, just like previously. It showed in the polls also. We beat Virginia Tech by 21 and dropped in the coaches poll. They see the ineptitude of this team. We won that game because of 4 to's by Va Tech giving us a short field, not in any way because we were a better, more fundamentally sound football team. These guys have not coached these players at all. They trip over their own feet. Inexcusable. Minor league coaches need to go away. The university needs to dump every resource into getting Petrino or Herman, not the B league types in Jones and a dinosaur O.C. that had been out of football for a decade.

I just have to check here. Are you implying that these coaches are not idiots?? You think these are solid, knowledgeable coaches that have implemented a strong game plan and are teaching our kids to the maximum of their ability?

I think if u live in Tn or Ga and are a Vols fan there is a good chance that maybe once in your life you will know a family/ person that plays for the vols....especially if you live in Brentwood or Hendersonville lately.

That doesn't make you an insider though. You may get small tit bits here or there and know info about that particular player but you are still not a true insider.

I think this happened a lot here and then people balloon it into hey this guy is an insider.

What I'm implying is that that's an over-simplified and emotional assessment, and these first three games aren't enough of a sample set to indict the coaches for complete ineptitude. Try again when we get to the bye week — right, wrong or otherwise, there'll be a whole lot more to go on by then.

I understand blocking abusers but blocking fans for criticizing ? May be in Martin's case we can make argument that he is a kid but what is Azzani and DeBord's excuse ?
Do they realize that it is because of fans that hey have jobs and make tons of money ? It is the fans that have filled the stadium despite having horrible years over and over. They have cheered on for VOLS even in 5-7 season.
These coaches want our cheers, want our support, want us to fill the stadium, be so loud that OU lineman calls it best he has even seen ... but when they play bad they don't want criticism ? Blocking TN fans on social media is unacceptable.

Our OC has won 12 games of 16 and 9 in a row so what's to criticise? You really don't think Tennessee is going to come out and play like they did in their 3 pre-season games do you?
