Really--How many times did HURD fumble this year??

How many INTERCEPTIONS has HURD thrown this year??

How many missed blocks along the OL has HURD missed this year??

How many blown assignments and missed TACKLES has HURD COMMITTED this year??

You guys will go to your deaths in order to defend a Southern conference LB like Colton Jumper--who is truly pathetic--and played VERY POORLY against USCe--

but will CRAP ALL OVER HURD.....:crazy::crazy:

Did Jumper quit?

It's unbelievable. Why do so many former Tennessee players have an axe to grind? And I thought most of the players really liked Butch.

The players can't stand CBJ. I can't tell my sources of course and you don't have to believe me. Why do you think so many players have left in the past. Especially Tennessee recruits. He's such a salesman till you get here then it's all degrading you. It's not about playing time. It's about how he goes about giving you PTime. They can see he doesn't know what he's doing but feel trapped. Do I leave and let my team down my family down. Lose my paid schooling.

Bs, quit posting your opinion on Butch and saying it's what the players think.

Now that Jalen is gone we need to wish him the best and be thankful for him being a Volunteer. The rest of the conversations need to end.

There was a reason he was not happy and most of us knew that he was not a fit for this system but he gave a lot of effort to make it work for him and the program. Thank you Jalen and best of luck in whatever you decide to do. We will be cheering for you.

You tell everyone that they need to end the conversation and immediately continue the conversation.

While I do agree with you that there are other way's to vent your frustration and this is not the best way to do so. I think a lot of Jones's former players are going to be speaking out against him. Right or wrong

And when these former players show coaching success outside of message boards, social media, or hosting radio shows they may actually be worth listening to. Until then they are doing nothing but bringing harm upon the university. Hurd is a quitter. Taking up for a quitter makes me question what they are about more than I would a coach.

Each of those who departed seemed to suffer from playing time, lack of production, or violations. I can't think of any that said or insinuated that they were leaving because of the staff.

If anything, look at the product on the field. The staff has done everything to find those who will produce and put them out there. Think Jennings. Outside of the QB position, please name one spot where the current position was a lock or where someone who excelled on the field when given a chance didn't see more time in following games.

Your comment rings of opinion more than substance

Said you don't have to believe me. I really wish I could reveal my source. It's someone very, I mean very close to the program

Ok, I'll bite

If the players 'hate' CBJ in the manner your source is quoting, why is it the majority of the leaders and kids on the team who host new recruits continue to help in that effort? Pretty sure you'll come back with something including the word 'fear'. Which is incredibly hard to believe.

For the record I don't like him, never have, and I think he was a band-aid on a bullet hole hire...but I support my university and the young men suiting up and taking hits week in and week out regardless. I guess I could switch gears and start trying to derail things by posting baseless information...😐

Preston Williams leaving is NOT AN ISSUE....he just another punk who can run and has a little shake....

Jalen Hurd has all-American talent and is one of the top 5 RBs to EVER carry the ball for the Vols....

Huge difference...

Don't know if I would consider Hurd in my top 5. Just being honest

Never liked any coach I had...no one wants to be told what to do and when to do it. I did it anyway for I loved the game and enjoyed my opportunity.

Well--thanks for correcting me....I honestly hadn't checked the stats lately, but had been lost in what HURD was projected to accomplish this year...I appreciate the info....

However, it doesn't change my opinion of Hurd's accomplishments on the field--or status as one of the top 5 RBs to have played for UT....

In fact--VFL34 had said as much in a thread last year on this site in a comparison of talent between Derrick Henry and Jalen Hurd??

SEVERAL participated in that discussion applauding HURD--AND NOW--ALLEGEDLY, less than one year later--HE'S CRAP...He's useless....It's a wasted down handing him the ball....He's not good... That's just B.S.!!!!!!

If HURD would've rushed for just 900 yards in 12 games this year--he would've been #1 and everybody would be singing his praises.....

However--Hurd will end his career as a UT RB just 440 yards shy of the all-time record....And he has done it behind in one of the worst periods of UT FB behind one of the youngest and least talented OLs in UT history!!!

And he has done it in 33 games...

All are entitled to disagree with me....but it won't change my opinion of Hurd's ability as a RB.....
CBJ and his offense staff is the problem. No OL development, wrong rushing scheme for Hurd. CBJ is so stubborn he would force a peyton manning to run read option.

I'm sure some players don't like the rules. Some of these players were probably pampered in high school and in their local communities.

Football aside, college is hard. One must be disciplined, organized and focused to succeed. It is why a large percentage of students that start the process don't finish the process. Pile on that the demands of playing football.

The best teachers I had and the best mangers that I have had in my career where those that pushed me hard . Did I like it? No. But later in life I understood how it had made me better prepared to handle anything life put in front of me.

No disrespect and I liked Pig. He was a baller. He didn't quit the team, he was dismissed for not following team rules. I think it is pretty much common knowledge that the team rule was no smoking weed. He failed numerous drug tests before he was dismissed. You got to have rules and you have to enforce them. Butch does this and I am grateful. Pig has earned the right to comment on Vols football IMO. Doesn't make it true though.

Maybe, just maybe Jalen just transferred because he wants to play elsewhere. Maybe it's not a bigger problem. Maybe the team was divided by Hurd not wanting to be here. Maybe Butch chewed his ass after he lolligagged into the end zone and almost cost us the GA game and Hurd got his fragile ego hurt. Maybe Butch acknowledged that he could be better at TE, but knows all he would do is block at UT.

Maybe we are all just guessing and have too much time on our hands.
