When did you become such good friends with Jalen to know where his mind is or what made him make his decision? Did you ever stop to think that he is quite pissed about something that he may have very good reason? OR if not pissed atleast dissatisfied enough that he felt it was his best interest to leave. JJ Watt did the same thing under CBJ. JJ Watt made it clear he was explained that from the TE position in CBJ offense he would be catching TDs all day. After 8 catches that year and being asked to move to OL he realized a change was needed. He left for Wisconsin.

Have you ever considered that Jones very well could have ran some I formation and such in our bowl victory over NW to make Hurd want to come back instead of already transferring? Before this year I had seen very few boys in our history run with the authority when they had the ball that Hurd did. This year its been obvious his enthusiasm with the offense hasn't been there....and I cannot say I blame him. SOMETIMES you do have to consider yourself and take the heat of others calling you selfish. I for one wish Jalen the best!

SEVERAL participated in that discussion applauding HURD--AND NOW--ALLEGEDLY, less than one year later--HE'S CRAP...He's useless....It's a wasted down handing him the ball....He's not good... That's just B.S.!!!!!!


If HURD would've rushed for just 900 yards in 12 games this year--he would've been #1 and everybody would be singing his praises.....

However--Hurd will end his career as a UT RB just 440 yards shy of the all-time record....And he has done it behind in one of the worst periods of UT FB behind one of the youngest and least talented OLs in UT history!!!

And he has done it in 33 games...

All are entitled to disagree with me....but it won't change my opinion of Hurd's ability as a RB.....

Hurd quit a long time ago. Everyone could see his lack of effort. Don't blame mystery injuries. He fell forward every carry his first 2 years and this year just looked for soft grass. I was done with him several games ago. His yards per carry pale to any comparison. The line is far better this year than the first 2 years.

He is the problem with the team this year. There is a reason Kamara is a captain at second team RB.

I don't think anyone doubts his ability, just his petulance.

One would obviously think that being one of the best players at the position at UT--given the status of the Volunteer program as one of the 10 best programs of all time--would be a necessary requirement for AA candidacy....Is that being unreasonable?

Foster had AA talent, but a total lack of dedication while he was here....and Yet--he found the motivation to prepare himself to make MILLIONS and did so in the NFL after leaving...and I think he was a NFL leading rusher one year, wasn't he???

You just don't find that kind of talent in the off-season--you either have it or you don't....

Foster had it at UT--but was his own worst enemy...but still flashed brilliant on the field at times....

Bryce Brown had it too....and made it to the NFL....but didn't do squat for us....

It is my opinion that HURD does have AA talent and is much better than those two RBs....

Regardless of our differences in opinion--HURD doesn't deserve to be CRAPPED on like the masses are doing to him on here.....

And once again--I DO NOT AGREE with him leaving the program....But I also think that CBJ lied thru his teeth to HURD at the end of last season and before the Bowl game to keep him here......

How many INTERCEPTIONS has HURD thrown this year??

How many missed blocks along the OL has HURD missed this year??

How many blown assignments and missed TACKLES has HURD COMMITTED this year??

You guys will go to your deaths in order to defend a Southern conference LB like Colton Jumper--who is truly pathetic--and played VERY POORLY against USCe--

but will CRAP ALL OVER HURD.....:crazy::crazy::crazy:

My opinion matters. My point of view matters. Why? Because I'm old enough to have played with Dirt before she sprouted grass and Mother Nature shipped her off to boarding school. I've paid the price of time (and we only have so much of it). I've earned it.

With the possible exception of onevol74, who may have matriculated at UT in the '70s, the rest of you are just whippersnappers posting like a bunch of mewling kittens. You'd make better use of your time fapping to a picture of Josh Smith's girlfriend.

It's a shame that a cancer like Hurd did not quit the team in the bye week instead. Maybe then his attitude would have been forgotten and we would've taken care of business against South Carolina without him and his toxic better-than-you personality stinking up the locker room.
