When you smoke weed knowing you're on your last strike, you quit the team. You give them no other choice. It was your decision. You quit. Howard and Obrien quit the team for weed. Or whatever. They knew they were getting tested. Only a matter of time before they failed.

Hurd quit on the team. He quit Sat night. Good luck to him and the team he goes to. Good luck dealing with his family.

Anyone questioning Williams leaving is an idiot. Jennings has clearly outplayed him. Beat him out. Instead of competing, Williams left. Who do you want going up for a ball to win the game? Preston Williams or Jennings? Coaches clearly made the right call that day. Not based on recruiting rankings, based on production!

Same for Hurd. I think the coaches and team got fed up with him.

EVERY major network covering sports said before this season that DOBBS had the most to prove--and that he needed to develop into a BETTER QB throwing the ball down the field to keep this team in contention....

The BAMA GAME is our statistical outlier.....BAMA DESTROYS EVERYONE....

HURD has COST US NOTHING THIS YEAR.....

He didn't make the trip to aTm, and He didn't play the pathetic 2nd half against USCe on the road....

Those two losses are definitely TEAM losses....but if you want to begin handing out blame.....YOU NEED TO START AT THE QB POSITION.....

Dobbs is a great young man, a brilliant student, and an excellent athlete....He's just a pathetic QB when forced to throw the ball....And EVERYONE knows it....and that's WHY MUSCHAMP said what he did in his half-time interview....that they were going to contain Dobbs and make him play the position....they did succeed in doing that and they WON THE GAME.....

So--I personally don't want to hear any crap about how Dobbs chewed HURD OUT.....He needs to start with the man in the mirror--who was responsible for 2 TURNOVERS on his own....

Well, I haven't seen HURD THROW one interception all year....and the straw that broke this TEAM'S SEASON occurred on our drive with about 3:40 left in the game when Dobbs threw that pathetic pass late and to the wrong receiver that resulted in an INT....

NO one to blame except himself.....If he had made a SR. SEC worthy QB read and throw on that play--He could have hit Smith earlier for a 25 yd gain--or hit the outside receiver streaking down the sideline for a TD....

Former QBs we have had at UT have MADE that throw over and over either for a TD or for a huge gain that led us on to victory..... That SCe DB was in NO MAN'S LAND....and FLAT FOOTED....Dobbs was absolutely pathetic on that pass......

And that, as they say, are just the facts--ma'am! :salute:

That was absolutely leadership. Hurd accepted the role of starter and his team depended on him. He then made a selfish decision to go pout on the sidelines and let his team go on without him. That left a young backup out on the field and he made a mistake. Had Hurd let CFA have those snaps in practice maybe it doesn't happen.

It's hilarious watching you guys rip the players while sleeping on Butch. Butch is eroding this program with lies and false promises to the players. How many players have to leave before you see that?

The kids come here because they want to and/or grew up loving the school. Butch is a salesman that will tell the next big east/mac school how they are his dream job.

Things will not get better. This is the slippery slope. FBJ. I hope he leaves immediately.

What you fail to realize is that had Hurd not pulled himself out of the game he would have been in giving Kelly a breather. He's a quitter and the team called him out....

The coaches should coddle their players and wipe their little noses and asses for them. Bear Bryant was good at this and the General was a lovely man too.

Exactly. Players don't turn on their own, particularly a "star" player, if you're a good teammate. i.e. selfless and interested in team success, not individual success. You have to be blind not to see that JH did not earn the respect of his teammates.

Some of the same people that have been swinging on Hurd's sack for three years are crucifying the guy now in order to protect Lyle. It's pathetic.

No but I remember the ex-vol running back loafing into the end zone and fumbling the ball that could have given the game to Georgia.

Listen, I get it. We disagree. A lot. But I am sorry, the state of this team this year is from the head coach down. EVERY game the team looks unprepared. Every single one. That isn't just a pouty player or two. Everyone sees the ridiculous offensive scheme that fails to take advantage of anyone until it's in hurry up mode because they've dug such a deep hole.

Why does Butch mean so much to you guys?

I hope you leave immediately. You're a joke of a fan. At some point the players have to actually execute. They are coached a ton, some like Hurd, just don't care.

You need to offer some proof or STFU. All you do is gripe about Butch with zero insight. Perhaps you should provide some proof to your garbage to show that you know ANYTHING? All you have done is gripe for the length of time I've seen you post. Maybe you just want Dooley back....
