Hurd is "dinged" up and not 100%. He has been in a no-contact jersey all week. With him hurt, and the gauntlet of at Ole Miss, Bama, at USC coming the next three weeks, shouldn't Butch just rest Hurd during this game Saturday v. a lower division team? Even if he can technically go, do you risk it in this game?

Absolutely let him sit. He HAS to be there and healthy in November or we will have a losing season. If he gets hurt and Peterman is at the healm throughout November we'll go 2-10.

There is a wide difference in playing him and abusing him. He should play. I trust that there is no reason to play him long.

I wish there was a play him till we're up by 21. Once we're up 35 tell him to take his pads off.

I believe its both, he needs to play and rest, play early and rest late as we blend in Scott. But we need to get Lane and young some time also.

Play every 1st teamer unless hurt. They need to play together to get more reps and experience. REMMEMBER GA Southern beat FL last yr. That would be enough threat for me, if I was in charge, to play 1st team.
