So I'm watching the the game and Dobbs completes a pass down field we have some momentum. Then it happens we run up the middle get stop for a lose. We run it again on 3rd down up the middle get stop again. It killed the momentum. I felt like we should have through the deep ball some. Very frustrating watching this game. And Saban can be beat nothing last forever.

First step when trying to correct the coaching staff is to proofread your post. "Through the deep ball"? Really?

Apparently several VFL's and ex-coaches have been ripping the coaching staff today. Basically saying they never had a game plan to win this game. They just coached scared and safe and wanted to get out injury-free.

Never even tried to attack Bama's secondary which is their weakness.

It's sad, really.

The Tennessee team I watched at home yesterday was merely a shadow of the one I saw in Knoxville versus UF. Hobbled and totally gassed! With the litany of injuries and a gosh-awful lot of fatigue while facing a motivated and 100% healthy 5* crowded bama team, UT's chances of coming out on top this time around were next-to-impossible. More likely (provided floorduh loses an SEC contest along the way) is a rematch of these two teams in Atlanta. Throw the kitchen sink at 'em anyway? "Damn the torpedoes! Full speed ahead!" and let's go at that miracle despite possibly crippling up the team even more? I'm not thrilled, but I'm still happy enough to keep smiling that we're 5-2 at this juncture and able to recover most of our hobbled key players headed into the final 5 games. USCjr could've had a shot if our guys came out of this game feeling good about themselves. But...with this jumbo dose of humble pie shoved down their throats, nobody's going to pull an upset on the Vols the rest of the way this year; going to face a pi$$ed off bunch of Vols beginning two weeks from now. Meanwhile, bama's going to hum right along; confident that they'll have a cakewalk in Atlanta with this bunch they just humiliated at their own house. It's going to be a much better team then......Cam will be back on board for the last couple of games and DK will be back even sooner, and the O-line should be healed up...wielding better depth. 'Not a time for panic. OK. Negas in 3...2...1...........:cray::cray::cray:

Do you blame them? We still have a lot to play for and we had no chance against Bama no matter how much you want it to be true. Simply because this board thinks we had enough talent to beat Bama even though everyone outside of UT could see it doesn't somehow make it magically true.

Of course I blame them.

This is the most potent offense Butch may ever have here, and this was one of the biggest games (if not the biggest) of his UT career, and he chose to lay down? That's just inexcusable.

Yes, I do. Why not just forfeit the game with this attitude? Why play the game at all? That is a loser mentality.

Arkansas passed for like 400 yards against Alabama. Debord did put our players in bad situations. You run on first and second down and do not gain much then on 3 rd down their D-line is comming after Dobbs. You got to throw on first down on Alabama. Their run defense is too good. Pass the ball.

What does our play calling say to a 4*-5* recruit?
Please help me understand why a 4 or 5 star recruit would choose Tennessee over Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Georgia, Auburn, Ole Miss, etc if they are from a state other than Tennessee. We offer nothing that they don't offer.

There was a complete lack of creativity by the OC. It reminds me of LSU vs Bama.

Yes because throwing the ball down the middle with no pass protection and a qb that is erratic at best is a great game plan. What offensive play helps create more dt's and less hurt linebackers? We would have had to score 50 points to win and that was never going to happen no matter who was calling the plays. It's called reality you should try joining it occasionally.

Do we really need to discuss our injuries again? Is it really that difficult to understand?! At what point in Dobbs career has he shown the ability to beat a defense like Alabama with his arm? You act as if Dobbs is Steve Young and Debord was hampering our potent passing attack. The dline was coming after Dobbs no matter what down it was. We simply could not block their dline. They didn't have to blitz, not sure what game you were watching but the tackles got manhandled on every down. Chance Hall literally got thrown into Kendrick when he got hurt that was the game in a nutshell.
