I am proud of my Vols today, fought all the way to the end but came up short. I just question the play calling. IMO it stinks. Anyone else agree? For example the 3rd and 4 run when Lane/Peterman fumbled.

Yes play calling and execution can improve... 90% of the game was called right... We gave up 10-14 points on bad passes which put us at 40 someodd points which is not too bad

I'm sorry but I'm tired of being proud but coming up short. We are starting to sound like candy fans guys! We should expect to win!

Great coaching today in my opinion. Winnable game in my opinion because of the coaching.

I think Peterman was suppose to pull it and run. If you watch the replay, Lane never even looked back or tried to recover it. I think it was a fake and Peterman hit him on the hip and fumbled.

I don't fault the play calling as much as the execution. Sorry but I was disappointed in Peterman. In 2 outings he has been a train wreck. Clearly he is not the answer they better start working Dobbs more because we are just starting the grind and we will need to play our backups again.

Play calling to start the game was fantastic. We go up 10 early, then go completely conservative, lose the momentum, and THEN we start throwing to the middle of the field successfully in a failed comeback attempt. Too often, we go away from what is working to try something that isn't and then have to come scrambling back in an attempt to win. Bajakian is failing our players in my opinion.

Pull it? You know we were under center right?

You guys probably should have one. Where's TDAWG? Yesterday he said Georgia's D Line was awesome. They're pretty good but not dominant. Worley had more time to throw. Reality sucks TdAWG

Is it me or does it seem many times we either had to do the quick pass or go for the bomb... and nothing in between!? One or more of their starting DBs went out of the game and we ran the ball on an already weak secondary.... I would have passed all day.... at least more of the 10-15 hitches across the middle. Instead it seemed bomb it, or short pass..

90% of the posters here were beatching about the run to Lane on 3rd and @ 4-5 in the first half. And they were all wrong. It's a "bad play call" because it didn't work out in their opinion. Rewind the game and you see nothing but green grass if our OL don't get mixed up and block the same d lineman.
But that's way too much to ask when looking at a game. It didn't work, so Bajack sucks, is much easier.
No OC is perfect and he has made mistakes. This also isn't a damn video game and we had a true freshman put up Jamal Lewis numbers against a team that held Clemson to 21, running behind true freshmen and freshmen at TE's and young wr's.

So bad communication between players had nothing to do with it? Backup QB you wanna throw it when they're running it well? Why does everyone want ever OC fired after 1 or 2 questionable calls? Find me a perfect OC. Please.

Nail. head. You hit it bro. This is exactly what happened. More reason of why Peterman should never leave the bench. He is a turnover waiting to happen.

Worley threw for 260 yards. Hurd ran for over 100 yards. Great game plan on the road and the team executed for the most part. UGA just happened to have the best player in college football running the ball.

Yes, pull it from the back. You stick it in his gut ride out the fake, then pull it. Lane never looked back for the ball after the fumble. If he was suppose to get the ball he would have turned around. He just kept running like it was a fake.
