But everyone says JG has a great arm? Palmer dropped 2 long throws. But how many times we throw behind the line of scrimmage versus how many times we attempted a mid-to-deep ball?

I think Pruitt is right, not enough talent to compete and not enough players trying to do things the right way. SC knew to run the ball in the first half. In second half TN would be tired and not make the stops.

If our QB could throw a complete some passes downfield we may have won by 21 but we don't and we didn't. Guess what though. We had one sitting on the bench who could but didn't....so there you go for getting the best players on the field

or curls or come backs or outs. I saw Palmer get the chance at an underthrown rainbow pass that fortunately was not intercepted and throw over players and hold and hold the ball. He is afraid to let that ball go.

Those were completely different situations but according to him they saw something on film that made them think they could get it. Players leaving early. He was right. Our guy didn’t block his guy so the one Gator in the area got the ball. It happens.

Wished he would have recruited for us instead of coaching Bama since he needs better players to do it the right way.

and just think if we would have at least tried to have gotten into field goal position we may had scored 3 points. I was stunned to say the least because you only get so many chances in a game

We won't let him have a chance because he won't be here next year. What if JG isn't the starter next year and decides to transfer? He could if Shrout out plays him in practice. Not saying it'll happen but ya never know.

Yeah, but if we had converted that 4th down, we'd sing his praises. It was a calculated gamble that unfortunately didn't pay off this time.
We had a heck of a first half though.

This game played out like one of those depressing country songs. Starts out good and then everything is lost.

we lost control, but I dont think it was because we took a knee there.

just didn't play well on defense the second half. I personally dont think taking the knee and the defense playing poorly are correlated

We are supposed to have a HC who is one of the best DC in the nation previously. We beat a ranked Auburn. So how and why did our D suck so bad tonight?

Literally every time SC ran the ball I cringed because we couldn't stop them. They knew they didn't need to throw because we couldn't stop the run and then pump out massive 60+ yard throws.

I believe someone will pass JG in the QB department next year. Kid will have to change dramatically to continue as QB for Vols. I don't think the vols will put up with this next year at all. If Pruitt tries this stuff next year then people will begin jumping ship again. This is his year of grace. Not next year if he makes the same mistakes. So someone may very well beat JG out of a QB job next year. Afterall, he definitely doesn't bring anything tangible to the table like being a threat to run like Dobbs. Matter of fact I can't really see any pluses at all in his column can you ?

Run = what % chance it turns into a nightmare of a play, I don’t know but y’all seen this offense all year, it’s got to a lot higher than your avg team

Our D didn’t suck so bad....it wasn’t great but if you expect it to be your very optimistic
The stats were close for both teams so I guess there D sucked too. We shot our self in the foot to many times and helped them out

JG had 70% completion. Why not throw if everyone wants to state this percentage? How many fumbles did we have by RBs?

Right where you wanted to be was with an extra 3 points btw. Would have made the 2nd half start with momentum.
