I am in favor of protecting the SECCG loser so that they get a New Year's Day game. I think that was a good rule change for the conference as a whole and it makes sense to rotate that obligation around to the second tier but 1/1 bowls with SEC tie-ins, as they have done.

IF we lose to LSU, I would like us to Play Kansas in the Cotton Bowl.

I know one person a Cotton Bowl berth would work really well for.

I'd still rather beat the Tigers and go to the Sugar Bowl.

I still think the Cotton bowl is the best of the second tier bowl games just because they didn't sell out and change the name to some corporate crap

as would I, but Im with you the Cotton Bowl would work out just fine for me. :rock:

That's great news!

That would mean that teams actually do get something for winning their half of the best conference in CFB--as it should be.

I wouldn't mind traveling back to Florida either, if (godness forbid) we don't win against LSU on Saturday. We had the Outback last year. That game was a microcosm of the season that followed (emotional highs and lows from week to week). Just as we had those Lions on the ropes, the fumble we'd all like to forget and that Arian has worked like heck to go above and beyond this season to erase.

I have a plan too... not averaging 4 losses a season over the last 6 years.
