Pizza time?

Asked about Acosta, Trump said the plea deal happened many years ago and that he did not think this was a decision that Acosta made on his own.

It's being looked at.

Well, if Trump said it you can take that to the bank! (where it will bounce sky high and you will have to pay returned check fees out the azz)

The part where he said proof. You don't have any.

And I have seen nothing that says that Acosta did this as a favor for someone or under political pressure. I think most of the criticism has centered on the notion that he entered into a bad deal due to being incompetent, not corrupt.
You called someone out about proof, and then went with what you typed, without any proof. You have no idea yet if his hands were tied.

Kinda like the Democrats and media accusing Trump of being a Russian agent non-stop for 2+ years?

Now that I know a Pecker is involved, I will need to listen to the oral arguments more closely.

I'm confused how or why the U.S. Attorney would negotiate such an agreement without the state office being in agreement with it.

The answer to your question is in the Comment Section of evillawyer post #913.

Big if true.

How does it follow, though, that he got special deference from the US government for working for a foreign intelligence agency?

I’m going to go out on a limb here, who was the head cod of the FBI in 2007? The article said nothing about foreign intelligence. Just “belonged to intelligence”.
