If you are suggesting that Trump was "the push" behind the Epstein arrest? Well, that is just dumb. The perception right now is that Trump hired Acosta as Labor Secretary for giving such a sweetheart deal to his close friend and pedophile, Jeffrey Epstein.
That’s your opinion

Maybe Trump figured out what was really going on.

Maybe not.

Regardless of who is involved I want justice to be served for the victims.

Should be interesting to see what other names come out of the Epstein charges.

Something will come to light. It will be interesting to see what is what.. if we are allowed to see much of anything.

How many times did these tricycles travel back and forth across the Atlantic Ocean?
I'm just saying that this really shouldn't be a partisan issue... Clearly, both Trump and Bill Clinton were close friends for many years with this pedophile. They both socialized with him. It's a horrible look for both of them right now and they know it. However, only one of them will be running for President next year. If I was a Trump supporter, I wouldn't want the name "Jeffrey Epstein" in the news. I wouldn't be pushing this story to try and hurt Bill Clinton. It's very easy to see how that could backfire. If you are a Trump supporter? You should want this story to just go away.

Everything you say above is assuming that politics is the motivation behind people who want this to get exposure.

It’s time for these types of crimes to hit the mainstream. It’s been going on for too long with no one being prosecuted.

Judging by comments online to various news posts of the Epstein arrest it looks like there's a bunch of Trump supporters that have been waiting for this to happen and are happy it finally did.

They either don't understand that one of Epstein's alleged victims is claiming that she was assaulted in Mar-a-Lago or they don't understand that Trump's Labor Secretary, Alex Acosta, orchestrated a plea deal with Epstein that broke the law. It's also possible that they do understand these things, and are trying to deflect from Trump's relationship with Epstein by bringing up Bill Clinton ... I have a feeling that is what some conservatives in this thread are doing as well.

There is no way that you can objectively see this story as a positive development for Trump. Trump was once named in a criminal complaint that included Epstein for crying out loud!

Y'all jumping on the "we got him now" train might want to get off at this station.

One of the first things Trump did as POTUS was go after human trafficking and all its surrounding nastiness with the full force of the federal government.

The human trafficking issue is where Ivanka serves her advisory role to the President.

Epstein was just arrested on trafficking charges.

I know y'all think the man is dumb...but damn, just damn..show a bit of common sense.

If he cared about cracking down on human trafficking as much as you say..... why did he name Alex Acosta as his Secretary of Labor? Acosta, illegally gave Epstein an incredibly soft plea deal and that was well-known and well-documented at the time of Acosta's nomination. It was a hot topic during his confirmation hearing. What you are saying is not consistent with bringing Alex Acosta into the cabinet. It doesn't make any sense.

Like collusion, this looks like another nothing burger that Maddow and the rest of the media mafia will be flapping their gums on over the next 16 months hoping that if they repeat their BS often enough some will believe it.
So, it's a "nothing burger" if it has to do with Donald Trump's friendship with Jeffrey Epstein but a legit scandal if it has to do with Bill Clinton's friendship with Jeffrey Epstein. That's not partisanship at all.

And it sounds like he has some of the same problems with Epstein coming... that is classic Donald Trump deflection. He said that because he was aware of how this could be trouble for him as well.
If Trump had even a scent of trouble related to Epstein, don't you think the Mueller investigation would have uncovered it and made a stink about it?

I'm pretty sure that would have been well beyond the scope of Mueller's investigation as established by Rod Rosenstein's memo.

What is Clinton's friendship about and why did he fly around the world multiple times with Epstein? Trump is a business man that had to cultivate relationships with Wall Street players to secure financing for real estate projects. He had his pic taken with the guy and a board lefty posts it as if that proves he's involved in pedofile activity. A billionaire financier staying at a billionaire real estate developer's resort is far different than spending 100s of hours together jetting around the world in an aluminum tube for unknown reasons.

Personally I hope that Bubba wasn't involved in the stuff with minors. God bless the man for tolerating his evil wife for all these decades.

As far as Acosta, it would seem pretty stupid to have the guy act illegally on his behalf and then subsequently appoint him to a high profile position in his administration.

Ultimately, I don't think anything comes from this except that there will be renewed outrage over the plea deal that Alex Acosta gave to Jeffrey Epstein. Acosta may be forced to resign as a result, but Labor Secretaries are expendable.

I have no idea why he was nominated, but if what Acosta did in Florida with Epstein was illegal why the devil was he confirmed? That speaks to a completely different failure in that system maybe.

I've read that the deal itself wasn't illegal, the fact the victims weren't informed beforehand seems to have been a legal violation by the prosecutor's office.

Was it a 🐮💩 deal to allowed him to be tried for lesser crimes? Yep, no arguments there. I never want them to get off easy no matter who they are.

There may be a lot of names come out from this that will shock folks but the Clinton's involvement should come as no surprise. They're involved with NXIVM as well.

Senate Republicans voted to confirm Acosta out of misguided loyalty to Donald Trump. It was a mistake. The part which I placed in bold is true... and it is outrageous that a prosecutor would enter into a plea deal with a sex offender without consulting with the victims first.

You can add 8 Democrats and 1 Independent to that confirmation mistake. I totally agree on the plea deal. He should have been brought up on federal charges instead of state charges.

The two of them? Wtf are you reading? Who has mentioned Trump as being an accomplice? It happened at Mar a Lago, thus he banned a fellow billionaire from his club for it. Where are you getting that they were rape buddies in this scenario?
There was an inflammatory story on Vox.com from 2016 that mostly went unreported by anyone else. A woman using the pseudonym, Katie Johnson, claimed in a lawsuit that in 1994, Trump and Epstein raped her when she was 13 at an orgy hosted by Epstein. This didn't (allegedly) happen at Mar-a-Lago but rather at Epstein's NYC residence. Katie Johnson (again, not her real name) also claimed in her lawsuit that Epstein had lured her into attending his parties with the promise of money and that he would also help her start a modeling career. She dropped the suit shortly before the election citing death threats. I won't post a link to it, because it was just an unverified claim and the lawsuit didn't go forward, but if you care to read the article... Just Google the headline "The lawsuit accusing Trump of raping a 13-year-old-girl, explained - by Emily Crockett on Vox.com" .... It will be the first link you see.

I'm not saying that anyone should believe that story. I just brought it up because SamRebel35 asked who has mentioned Trump as an accomplice and this story has been out there for quite some time.

Is this gonna be the new Russia/Mueller/nazi massacre/WW3 obsession from the left that stokes their impeachment hope fires that keep getting snuffed out like a squeaky male dim fart in the wind?
There will be calls for Alex Acosta to be fired as Secretary of Labor. Until that happens? This story will linger.

Trump and Epstein have been accused of sexually assaulting a 12 year old.

Maybe this was what Trump was so worried was going to come out during the Mueller investigation? Maybe he worries that Dems will ask Mueller if he had been made aware of this and why not act on it? Mueller would say yes, but it was outside the scope of the investigation. The fact of having heard about it, alone, could trigger an avalanche of bad news for Trump.
