Per Epstein's victims... they were never informed of the plea agreement which Alex Acosta entered into with Epstein's lawyers before the judge agreed to it. That is against the law... Acosta was the lead prosecutor. The only possible defense is to say that Epstein's victims are lying and Acosta did inform them of the plea deal beforehand... but why would they lie?

Getting tired of arguing this... we are at an impasse. I think Acosta should have informed the victims of the plea and you are giving him the benefit of the doubt about (something, I guess).

I'm done with this thread. Nice to see you back here... and get GV to come back to, if you can. You guys are great posters.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see what all comes of this. One thing is for sure, many more are going to be outed.

An accusation has been made that Epstein was working with Mueller who was blackmailing those implicated. No idea if true but knowing what I know now about Mueller, I don't put it past him.

Nothing new about Acosta came out this week, so why were you not calling for his head the past few months?

Because Epstein is facing new charges. That sentence he received a decade ago, merits additional scrutiny in light of that. Who was responsible for signing off on that plea deal on the prosecution's side? My understanding is that it was Acosta.

Maybe Acosta didn’t think he could get a conviction? Nothing Acosta did or did not do is new. You are jumping on the fire his ass bandwagon, which is the lazy approach, when you have no clue what circumstances led him to make the deal.

Fair enough but why not explain that to the (alleged) victims before presenting the plea agreement to the judge? Something isn't right about that.

I still can't figure out how he plead guilty to state charges and yet Acosta a Federal prosecutor was the one signing off on a plea deal?
