Pitt UMass

If Milton is JG 2.0 then Bailey is Worley 2.0. Good QB, but not what Heupel is wanting to do offensively. Worley was never a threat to run & neither is Bailey. That's why even Hooked is ahead of Bailey. If Milton turns it over next Saturday, Hooker will be the go to guy. Bailey can throw but it doesn't look like Heupel thinks that's enough for some reason.
Thats the thing about Milton. Everyone assumes he's the guy because "he can run." Well he amassed 156 rushing yards in 3 years at UM. To me, Milton isn't even a true QB and brings nothing but a cannon to the table.

Nope,
Not until our admin is willing to pay the right amount of mojo $$$ as other SEC schools do for a top-notch head coach.
Heupel may not have been my first choice but there’s something that some of us need to understand. Until the University can show some program stability and alignment in the administration, no “top-notch” coach wants to come here. In the coaching ranks, Tennessee is viewed as a toxic program that can potentially kill your coaching career. I hope that perception of the Tennessee program changes soon but right now we couldn’t buy an already well proven winner if we tried. So……we hope! We hope that maybe, just maybe this school has finally got an AD a Head Coach and the administration it takes to shake the rust off this giant orange machine. We hope!

Because he had one mediocre game automatically means he is going to have another one?....Are you a psychic or something?

No, are you a psychic or something? My posts are based on available evidence. Yours are based on what, besides nothing?

Milton is 2nd behind Hooker in that categor, but I don't know if he has as designed runs at UM. Heupel can't design runs for Bailey as he can for Mikton and Hooked. He's the guy cause Heupelsaid he was. He'll get more comfortable with the new offense and should have a better showing this week.

Huep's system can work without a dual threat QB, against good teams. It cannot work without a QB who sees the open receivers and passes to them accurately.

I've watched several offensive breakdowns of the Heupel offense and it seems to be a pick your poison offense. He spreads the wide-outs VERY wide, thus spreading you laterally. Then they watch what the safety(ies) do. If you crowd to stop the run, it opens the passing game. If they play to stop the pass, it opens the running game.

It's designed to put defensive players/units on islands and cause mismatches in the numbers game.

Last night, BG picked the pass all night and left the run open. If Pitt does that, they'll also leave the numbers favoring run.

If they choose to shut down the run, it'll open up the pass. So if we get even acceptable QB play, it'll favor UT for them to try to stop the run. I suspect they will try that after seeing Milton's game yesterday.

I hope Milton isn't as bad as he's initially looked. And if he is, I hope they have him on a short leash because (like I said), I believe with just acceptable QB play, we win handily against Pitt.
You are 100% correct.

I hope you are right but I dont see it. This is his 4th season playing college football. Its wishful thinking imo. What we saw on Thursday is who he is.

So you got your evidence from the first game of the season under a new coaching staff in a rebuilding year?

You really expected us to not have any problems?

That’s on you my friend.

Well by your comment Bailey should have took the snaps Thursday night under the lights. Hopefully he'll get shine snaps in soon.
Bailey isn't Lock tho and His UCF QB's were quick twitch.

Ah so now we are reverting back to the guys cannot improve or change. That’s ridiculous.
They can. But as the leader of the team going on podcasts, interviews etc. saying you played good and that hes the guy who can do it all... Doesn't really sit well considering he didn't play well and his stat line is right in line with what he has proven through his career. Below 50% passer who cant use his best attribute which is supposed to be the deep ball. To me and this is my opinion I don't think he see's his own faults. That is not imo easy to coach put regardless of arm talent
