Yeah, any good lip reader could see what the guy was saying to JaJuan. I think the guy still thinks he's a player.

Everybody on raycom saw that and Pel was starred down when JaJuan hit his three he turned and looked at the whole Arkansas bench as to say you can not hang with the big dawg (said some things). There was a lot of smack talking going on between Irvin and some of the Tenn players but I agree Pel should act like the coach and should not have responded to that stuff. Richardson, Sutton, and Pearl would not have ever responded to a player like that. Maybe Bobby Knight but he is not coaching any more.

oh yeah you are probably right -- Knight would not have said that to the kid he would have just thrown a chair at him.....:clapping:
that's right, because he treated opposing players very poorly on a regular basis. That was his MO.

OK you are right -- When I read his lips and saw what he said I was like WTF he should not have responded like that. It was not good but in his defense he is as competitive a person as you can expect and he did just beat the number 4 team in the country. Should he have said that NO but I am sure we have all said things at some point in time that we should not have.

Bruce Pearl had a similar run in with Joakim Noah a couple of years ago. It happens.
