Who the hell is Brenda Lawson?

She is the ex-wife of bankrupt Cleveland businessman Toby McKenzie, of payday lending company fame and a real estate developer in the area. They have contributed millions to UTK and UTC. The Mocs basketball facility McKenzie Arena is named after them. There was an issue about them not following through on their pledges for UT's athletic center, but apparently that has been resolved for her half of the $4M pledge.
