Kentucky is legit. Everyone knew they were going to run it last couple of years and they were still hard to stop. Auburn seems to peak and then crater rather systematically, so if my pattern recognition serves me well, Auburn should crap the bed this year.

No upsets this first week. I always go with my gut feelings when picking college game.

On a side note I'm always smart enough NOT to bet money on the Vols / vegas odds makers

I think all favorites will win but just for fun I picked Ole Miss over the Gators. Best chance imo outside of us losing to SC (but that's not fun.)

If I'm going to pick one may as well pick one way out there. Pittman is an exceptional assistant coach. It remains to be seen if he's a great HC or not. I'm going with Pittman finds a way to get his hogs to beat the dawgs. UGA has a chance to be less than mediocre on offense this year, Pittman knows it and finds a way to exploit it.

Can I mail in my ballot or has that evil new postmaster general completely shut down the service already?

I don't think there will be a upset in week 1 but if I had to pick one it would be Kentucky over Auburn. Mississippi would be second, but I just don't think they have enough defense for the long haul. Kentucky has a tough O-Line and early in the year that could be a problem for auburn. But it will still be tough for them to beat auburn at auburn. But that is a interesting matchup. GBO!!!!!

I picked Miss St over LSU. LSU lost a ton of talent, and the Pirate will try to torch their secondary. I predict a 35-28 win for MSU.
I'm curious to see how physical Miss St is going to be under Leach. I think it'll be his downfall if they aren't physical and go pass happy. I'm in the minority but I think he struggles, I like Arkansas' hire better than Miss States.

I think Pittman was a great hire, he's well respected in the coaching circles I'm curious to see how that translates to head coach. I think he just might be successful there long term, as much as you can be in Arkansas in the SEC West.

He's in Arkansas as HC as this is his last gig before retirement. I've read a couple of articles he has a place in the Ozarks and intends to lay his tools down there whenever and however this gig with the Hogs ends. He's a class guy and I have to think he's the kind of coach that can turn that bunch in the West into competitors. Arkansas historically thrives when they recruit Texas well. He has to know that.

KY over AU. Ky has come a long way with Stoops. Visiting team has won every game I think since 2004. Going with the trend.

Auburn is going to be Auburn and only play to the potential of the opposing team. Then Kentucky is going to push them all over the field.

Folks, Kentucky is at Auburn. Ain't happenin'.

Lane Kiffin is a foreskin that should have been discarded in a briss. Smack him away with an oar and bring Layla into the lifeboat. That's all that needs to be said about Kiffin. However, the Nameless of Mississippi are hosting Floriduh. If there is a chance at an upset in week 1 of SEC ball, this is it. No, it will have nothing to do with match-ups and all the things we like to talk about. It will be Maxim #1. Florida will make more mistakes (including some stupid penalties).

OK, all you lubed up KY fans, it's Auburn's home opener. You think UK has what it takes to upset Auburn under these circumstance. Well then, side bar - Will Auburn turn the fire hoses on the celebrating Kentuckians?
