Jesus Christ I get so sick of the negativity around here sometimes. We ****in get it. You don't approve of the hire. Do you really have to come crap on every thread where there is an ounce of hope or positivity?

I was impressed by everything Dooley said today. I'm interested to see what kind of product he puts on the field. I don't see how it makes me negative to think we won't upset a good football team this season. I don't blame Dooley for the worthless state our program is in now.

A lot of people on this thread still living in the days when fulmer weighed under 250. This is going to be a very rough season. Just rent some movies and come back in 2011. Save yourself the pain.

I can't see South Carolina or Georgia even being considered upsets. I say we beat Oregon just like we did Cal when they traveled to Neyland a few years ago.

Sorry, but I don't see us beating any of those teams. If pressed to absolutely pick one, I'd say @ South Carolina.

I refuse to pick a choice off the list unless I can choose South Carolina plus another team. They are not and will never be on the same level as the other teams on the list and UT should expect to be in a good game with them this year. Our best shot is probably a tossup between Oregon and Florida. Oregon will likely be good, but it will be early in the season with a lot of changes for both teams. It is the same story with UF. Early season kinks can produce unexpected results.

I picked Oregon, because I think it's possible, and because it would instill huge momentum in a team that will need momentum through the middle of the schedule.

Based on past behavior, all that should be required is for an opposing player to bump into one of our guys and possibly say something. That seems to give them all the momentum they need. They'll be unstoppable.

Or, Oregon has a history of underachieving. Has a new QB. And is on the road at Neyland.

This, plus we catch them at the right part of the season for us - early and before SEC play. We've got the first string players, it will be the injuries that take their toll on our Vols this year.

Florida - Over confidence of the Gator players, chip on shoulder Vols team, Myer's lack of familiarity with DD game calling, my belief our defense will be small but darn fast with a feeding frenzy mentality about tackling (freaking pirahana-bull shark hybrids), and the general underrated Simms will be just good enough. If we avoid more off field incidents. BUT Myles absent is going HURT big time as opponents exploit this. Had he stayed, he and Jackson would be twin terrors making opponents literally afraid to go for the long ball. Oh well.

I picked Oregon because it is early in the season, it is at home, and i just think that we are tired of losing to the Pac 10. I think we will pull it out with the surprise attack.

It's just interesting to see which team people think we have the best chance of pulling an upset against this year and why they feel that way. We may not beat any of those teams listed above since we will be underdogs in each of them, but that's why they call them upset picks.

I picked LSU. Historically, we play very well in Death Valley, especially as under-dogs.

The post-Katrina spoiler is one one of my favorite games in recent memory.

RICK CLOWSEN!!!! Bob Davie style!!!

Are we really going to be this bad?

Thinking that one of these teams isn't going to have a bad game against us is ignorant. We will at least beat one of them, and I personally think we will beat more than one.

As for my vote, I picked Oregon. If Neyland is packed full we will win, but if we don't have fan support then we will lose. I say the Neyland noise plays a big role in this game.

Do you really have to crap on the thread like that? Why not just answer his question "out of the six choices above" and not act like we should all go cut our wrists instead of watching out "awful" team this season

Did you expect anything less?
