I'm all for Patterson but why not interview Leslie Frazier? He keeps getting picked over for NFL gigs and he has a pretty impressive resume...

The sad fact is, we are a much less desirable head coaching destination than we were a year ago. This is truly a chaotic mess that will set this program back for years unless something big happens, in a big hurry.

Doug Marrone, now the coach at Syracuse, would be high on my list. Coached at UT, offensive coordinator under Payton at New Orleans Saints--solid in every way. The only thing is, like Kiffin, he's only been at syracuse one year--and I doubt he's a pric$ in the way Kiffin is.

I vote Tony Dungy and Jeff Fisher. lol I mean if we are just throwing out names. and Jon Gruden to coach special teams. We can afford it.

Troy Calhoun of air force? What am I missing? What would he do--install the military academy wishbone offense: "i think i can, I think i can. Good grief--we can do better than this. Isn't this the cat who tried to force all his players to become christians a few years ago?

Head down to Ruston, LA and bring back Derek Dooley. He's done a strong job in a rotten situation. This would look like child's play to him after he's had to revamp both the LA Tech football program and the overall Athletic Department.

We need to take a coach with a good recruiting class. Sadly we need to be the jerks here and steal from another school.

Maybe we can try Butch Davis again.

My first call would be to Rod Wilks. I mean the kid can divide by ZERO for christ sake! This would be child's play.

I think UT's best bet is Randy Edsall -- this guy is all class, similar to Bruce Pearl. Pearl and Edsall aren't far and away the best coaches out there but they're class acts. They'll win wherever they go because of it.

Mike Hamilton needs to be fired for drawing a contract with the 800000 escape clause. That being said, Mike open the checkbook its going to cost and cost big to get a decent coach. Go after John Gruden and pay what ever he wants, NOW. If he don't Want to Coach Offer Nick Saban 10 million a year will get him. MIKE YOU CAUSED THIS NOW FIX THIS

Listen, I know that a couple of names on everyone's wishlist are unrealistic, BUT I hope Mike Hamilton has the wherewithal to at least make those calls... just sayin.

Must do something totally radical. It might be crazy, but Leach is the guy. Our reputation can't be tarnished any more after Kiffin. If we are going to be the butt of the jokes, at least we will be scoring tds and fun to watch. Also, he seems to be loyal to the program. Hire him. He has a chip on his shoulder and he can help save this class.
