ACC- Duke

Pac-10- Washington

Big East- Pitt

Big 10-Purdue

Big 12- Texas

SEC- Kentucky

I know I'll probably take some heat being a Kentucky fan and picking Kentucky to win the SEC.

But I really have a feeling our team this season can be just as good as last season.

Not because they'll be as talented, but because we'll be much more well-rounded. With Knight, Lamb, and Jones coming in, we'll have much more shooting ability, and a more solid rotation.

I'd love to see Tennessee and Kentucky in the title game.

Anyone but Florida :good!:

Florida is the sexy pick because of the talent they have coming in, but they've had good talent on that team for a few years. Maybe they finally break through but considering how they performed last year, I think they still have a lot to prove before I go off and crown them preseason SEC champs. Kentucky will be a force, but I don't think they will be as good as last year. It will be a dogfight in the SEC East, and since I don't see a clear favorite, I pick Tennessee by default.

UK is definitely not the clear cut favorite. It's a 3 or 4 team race, imo.

I agree. However, with them being the defending champs I gave them the nod. Tennessee could win it, or Florida. I think UGA could finish second, but for some reason I just can't imagine them winning the league.

I agree. They've been a doormat for long enough now that it's hard to see them doing that well.

I also feel that way about UF. The media has been hyping them for the last couple seasons, but they seem to not be able to get over the hump since the championship seasons. In fact, these last 2 or 3 seasons might have been the worst stretch of the Donovan era.

Sec-Tenn

(I feel we'll bring home either the reg season crown, or the conference tourney. The other being taken by UF or UK)

ppl actually give Uf the "preseason-nod" bc of they're returning their 1-5 and adding talented depth. On paper they are the obvious pick to have a clear edge on the other 2 (UT/VU), all things considered.

Georgia has been the doormat for quite sometime now. However, I'm a Mark Fox believer. I see them competing in the east for the forseeable future. Perhaps no titles, but there aren't going to be to many more easy wins in Athens.
