Maybe Nick is opposite of JC this year, JC practices good, but stinks at gametime, maybe Nick practices bad, but plays decent at gametime this year. Wont know unless we play him, cant be no worse.

IMO, it would be unwise to start Stephens in the Swamp regardless. If CLK was going to hand over the team to him, I would think he'd wait until Ohio to give him a fair chance to build on before we play Auburn.

But unless The InCrompetent One is either maimed or has 7 turnovers this weekend, I get the feeling CLK will stick with him. Don't really know why, but he will.

No......don't throw Stephens in the frying pan this week. Make Crompton tough it out and if we lose big let Stephens start against Ohio.

People have to understand that even if the coaching staff has already decided to switch to Nick, he's not going out there for the Florida game. It would make absolutely no sense to put him in a position where he has the chance at actually underperforming Crompton. If they are going to switch, they will let Crompton be the sacrificial lamb for the Florida game and then let Nick finish off they year.

Start Stephens this week and the rest of the year, at worse it motivates him to beat the gators when they come to knoxvegas next year!

You asked a "yes" or "no" question. Only an idiot wouldn't realize that.

If I remember correctly, didn't Nick have us tied and in the game AT UGA last year? C'mon cromptonites, get a grip.

if anyone had us in the game against georgia it was the defense. nick had 1 or two throws in that game that could have easily been picked off had the defender not been sleeping and dropped the ball thrown directly into his chest. plus that game wasn't as close as the score indicated

I was there and don't recall ever thinking we had a chance to win. If anything, Eric Berry kept us in the game.

To all the people that says that Nick is worse than Crompton are completely out of line...You cannot get any worse...Crompton could not even see a 6'6' TE at the goal line wide open and threw across the field into double coverage. IMO Nick has a better arm..is more confident and a baller..he has fire unlike Crompton. I would like to see NS split time this week with the 1st team this week...but I do not believe that they will start NS...I believe they will be forced to put him in during the 2nd quarter..NS has better vision and would be an upgrade to Crompton..Recievers quit runnig routes saturday because they knew Crompton would not get them the ball.

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

We know Crompton can't win...even in the new system. Stephens hasn't proven that yet. Right now, if we are going to lose anyway, I'd rather lose with Stephens under center. At least he'll get practice for when the team is his next year.

Kiffin said Crompton is the QB. No indication that there's going to be a change anytime soon.
