I know there are a lot of threads about Fulmer, but if he were to be fired or he retired, who would you want to replace him, and who would be the most likely candidate

The best scenerio I can think of is Gruden at TB tanking, getting fired and Hamilton jumping at the chance...other than that, I havent a clue

Trooper Taylor would be my ideal head coach.

With that being said I am sure Doug Dickey would get the job again.

But what has Gruden done with his own players? The answer is noting. He won a SB with TD's players and then has squandered a team away. Sorry, never been a fan of Gruden at TB.

I like TT, but he's not yet experience enough yet. He's done a great job here, but keep in mind, he couldn't even get a job at Howard last year so Im not quite sure if he's able to coach at UT

Thought about that but I am ready for some new blood in here and let TT go on somewhere new as well.

It's the NFL. Nobody is anyone's player. It's not like Gruden goes out and recruits these guys. If you're going to have that outlook, then look at how successful "Gruden's players" were in Oakland and how crappy they were when he left (save the one season where Bill Callahan kept his offense).

Id like to have Gruden at UT, but heres the first question why would he take a step back to the college ranks.

I agree but he has a say in who they sign and keep. And his system has failed him as well so what makes anyone think he can be a winner at the college level?

I think they should go after Spurrier and have him for his last six years of his coaching. Put Trooper at Defense or Offense Coordinator, then let him take over after him.

I'm going to stay on the Chris Peterson bandwagon until somebody finds a convincing argument to knock me off of it.

List in the order I would like:

Gruden
Cowher
Tedford

Tedford would leave Berkley in a second for Knoxville.

Let's make Bruce Pearl the next head football coach... as well as keep him at basketball! :good!:

I realize there are some good young coaches out there like Kragthorpe, Patterson and Levitt, but if I could pick a couple I would still have Spurrier and Bob Stoops at the top of my wish list.
