No cover, double up.

If there are only two options, it makes no sense not to double up, if the EV of 50% odds is the same for double up or not.

If it were +8 for a W and -6 for a L, and you were only about 55% confident in your pick, then you'd want to not double up then... but even 52% confidence with +8/-4 makes your EV higher with a double up than 1x.
