Defense has to get much, much, much, much better. The Purdue and Pitt games were nearly inexcusable losses.

If the secondary can improve then I have full confidence that the defense will be better this year. That will help us greatly on 3rd downs.

For a team projected to win 4 games last year after 20-something players transferred coming off a 3-7 season, a bowl loss and loss to the ACC champion are not “inexcusable.”

We were definitely better than our record indicated last year! Outside of UGA/Bama I would put our team up against anyone in the country and feel confident in doing so. I'm not saying we would win every game, but we would definitely give anyone in the country a run for their money. I'll feel a lot better if the rumors about our DB's are true JMO
