I think second tier is about right for Uncle Phil,,,, Tennessee Tech or ETSU , maybe UTC since the system is paying him already?

To be honest about it, I would love to have him down here in Tampa at USF. I think he would take them up about four notches. And all he has to do is recruit about 75 miles in any direction , except west.

The stupidity of some college athletic departments never ceases to amaze me. I wouldn't be shocked if some garbage program takes him as their coach. It would have to be a team with a history of making these types of hires.

and who has a richer history of hiring old washed up SEC coaches then the Mighty Gamecocks of South Carolina? It would appear mutually beneficial to both programs on the surface. USCe would take claim to his '98 Championship ring. Fulmer would get an opportunity to extract revenge on the UT fanbase for the way we treated him.

It will all work out perfectly when the Ole Ball Coach retires after this season.
