Florida scored 29 points on Mizzou's "great" defense. I hear a lot of hype about the defense we play tomorrow, but considering florida's offense scored that much makes me think we can pull away easily.

We will find out if we have the right offensive scheme tomorrow night. We should win by at least a touchdown on talent alone.

If we lose this one is laid all on the coaching, but I am with you we will not lose. Two scores.

We have the players on offense to win this game. I'm confident our defense will do its job. The question is will our guys be pumped up, and do the coaches call the right plays so they can score. Jmo

Florida outscored US...why are they all of a sudden the low end of our comparisons!

Same Florida team that beat us by scoring 28 points on our defense??

We should win by more than a touchdown in a perfect situation

We are the better team because of talent alone

Our victory will hinge on coaching, play calling, and execution of those calls

If we let them hang within 7 points by the fourth, then we could be in trouble.

The Missouri D is going to come out and stack the LOS. They will cheat up their Linebackers and run blitz a lot to force Dobbs to throw. They will play tight man on the WR to stop the short throws because there is enough film to show we don't throw deep and if we do, we aren't that successful

This all adds up to a cat fight up into the last whistle

It's going to be a fight, but I'm not sure any Cats survive this Dog fight

I understand SOME of the coaching criticism but how you can say that a loss will be all on the coaches before the game is played tells me regardless of the outcome you're mind is made up and will find any way possible to blame the staff...justified or not.

So if we were to lose because we give up a pick 6 and a fumble return for a TD it's still on coaches? Brilliant.

Butchna, I know you get boners from trying to make people look stupid on here and belittling them but before replying did you at least look up Florida's offensive numbers compared to ours?

Our offense is light years better than Mizzou's which was the whole point of my thread. Now be a good little boy and mow my lawn.

I think it's clear to see that Tennessee's offense is all about execution. Just look at the first few drives of just about every game. The vols march up and down the field with ease because the plays are scripted and they practice those exact plays so the players know precisely what to do. Execution, execution, execution.

Tennessee is light years better on special teams. Mizzou's kick coverage is horrible. Tennessee has a good enough offense to put up at least 20 points on their defense. Mizzou is vulnerable in the secondary. Tennessee's defense is good enough to completely shut down Mizzou's offense. So long as we don't turn the ball over 3+ times then we should win by 2 or more scores.

After hearing Jones praise Missouri's D (like it was a new version of the 85 Bears) and talk about field position and a shorter game. I fully expect him to play Missouri's game and give us all a heart attack or heart break. We play down to competition and i don't expect it to be any different today.

You are right I am brilliant. Barring the Turnovers, it will be on the Coaches & Staff. The game plan and adjustments will tell all at the end of the game.

We laid an egg last week and it showed that we coasted. Expected to rest players and get 2nd stringers into the game at halftime or early 3Q. We have heard all about "the grind" and "breaking the opponent's will", the time has arrived.

This game boils down to coaching preparation, adjustments, and execution.

Can Vol coaches take the next step against Mizzou, It's about time don't you think?

I agree. It is time. This game is the difference in a New Years Day game or a lessor bowl game.

Face it, we lost early to OK because we could not close out. (Coaching)

We got physically pounded in the Arkansas game. (Depth)

We played FL tough but again wrong Defense call on 4th Down and end of game clock mgt. (Coaching)

Alabama well played game but stuff happens.

Coasted against USCe and N Texas.

Missouri fans admit their team is crap this year and expect to struggle against teams like Kentucky and Vandy; however, they fully expect to beat us.

They reason that Pink's defense shuts down Butch's offense every day and twice on Saturday. As one fan reminded me this week, the only time Missouri ever struggled against the Vols was when we had Tyler Bray and even then they won in overtime because we had inept coaches. They fully expect to win this game by 2-3 TDs because we won't be able to score and our defense will give out like they have all year
