I guess it's a good thing Okie State's starting center was hurt.

When you are getting double and triple teamed every time you touch the ball it's going to take some time for him to adjust no matter who is out there. Ok St's center would've been on Hall anyway. He would've been used on help side defense.

Shaq gets doubled and makes the right plays. No excuses. OK State made a STATEMENT.

Jurick is their backup center, no? I think their starting center would've been on Stokes if he was healthy, and he's obviously better than Jurick b/c he's starting and Jurick isn't.

So that should have left openings for the rest of our team/offense to score.... AND WE DIDN'T

Yes, but Hall is the center. Ok St played zone too and they would collapse any time Stokes got the ball so Jurick wasn't always on him. He could pass out of it against mid-majors. It's the third game in without Maymon. He'll have to adjust.

Fair enough.

If our dang guards could hit the broadside of a barn if sure would soften up the sagging zone teams are playing against Stokes as well as the double team. Every year pre season we hear how McBee is shooting lights out and then he has games like the past 2. Our entire team was completely out of sync today.

Philip Jurick Arrested « ArrestNation.com

Hmmm, arrested for driving on a suspended license in June, arrested for drug possession in August...Funny how he was "suspended" during the offseason but now games are being played and the starting center is hurt and whattayaknow, he's back from his suspension!

We don't need his garbage around our program now, so I'm glad he's gone. I'll take a guy like Stokes any day.

So once again we have no effective offensive game plan against the a zone defense?

I love the hard-nosed defense our team plays, but we simply do not have knock-down shooters on this team for the second straight year. We are going to see a LOT of zone until we get someone on the floor who can shoot a jumper, and it will always be effective.
