my bad. I think Phil had done a remarkable job. The fact that he was able to keep the wheels from completely coming off is a testement to him. I just hope that our success this year will not overshadow the need for some much needed changes. Also Im really curious if anyone has any predictions as to where Coach O will land?

Coach O will probably wind up being a DL coach in Oakland or a DL/recruiting coordinator in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Just what I think

When you are a black football coach with no head coaching experience, you take what you can get.

That's when I knew to stop reading. I'm so sick of people still playing the race card. Do they really think AD's are using skin color as a basis for coaching qualifications nowadays? Sure, maybe a few nutjobs, but it's not widespread enough to make a statement like the one I quoted above from the aricle in OP's post.

Justin, no chance he lands in the SEC ala' Garner?

I don't know. That's just my hunch that he'll go to where he's comfortable (Oakland and Kiffin) or a place that's hit bottom and it's going to be easy to look good (Nebraska).

I give credit to Mississippi State for standing by Croom after a couple of pretty rough years. It would have been easy to fold the tents and say "This isn't working, we're going elsewhere" (a la Ole Miss) in spite of having no historical success and also a dry cupboard of talent, but they stuck with Croom and are being rewarded.

hard to believe that a guy with "rebel" in his screen name would be sick of the race issue.
