Phil Steele's Strength of Wins

Sounds about right. Ohio game being so tight really hurts considering they were blown out by a terrible Texas State team.

Weren't blown out (lost by 2 in triple OT), but yes, does look bad. Ohio is not a very good MAC team this year.

Both teams are 5 and 0. Here is how each team stacked up against their previous opponents (Offenses vs Defenses):

TN.........VS.....Opp. (Avg)

Pass O #77 VS Pass D #57
Pass D #61 VS Pass O #73
Rush O #55 VS Rush D #32
Rush D #64 VS Rush O #50

TAMU.......VS.....Opp. (Avg)

Pass O #33 VS Pass D #82*
Pass D #98 VS Pass O #80*
Rush O #10 VS Rush D #104*
Rush D #52 VS Rush O #97*

* I arrived at Prarie View's Avg's by adding 128 too their FCS stat rank.

GBO!!!

Dude, Georgia didn't beat us or Ole Miss. To get Georgia's total, you add the Div I wins of the teams they beat: UNC (3), Nicholls (0), and Mizzou (1).

You're correct that Phil got UGa's total wrong, but it's the other direction. Should be 4, not 6. Apparently, Phil didn't look close enough for FCS opponents (each of those opponents had one).

The next two teams on the list? TXAM and Alabama. Man, this is a brutal stretch.
If you want to be the best, you have to beat the best....

Yeah, man, love it. Wouldn't have it any other way.

Hope it's always the way that when we win, we make a big splash, and when we lose, we lose valiantly to a worthy foe.

Go Vols!

These stats give some hope in the face of our injury plague.

Obviously I missed the part about it only counting teams you beat. So thanks for the response. I don't know I appreciate the tone.

I honestly just wanted clarification.
