Florida will beat Tennessee in this week's toss-up game
Last week's Mississippi State pick made me 2-for-2 in my toss-up game predictions, and this week I am going to stay in the SEC for a third week in a row. The Florida Gators travel to Knoxville for a key SEC East game against the Tennessee Volunteers, with ESPN GameDay on hand. I do think the situation favors Tennessee, as they are coming off a game against an FCS team while Florida has to travel for the second week in a row after expending a lot of effort last week against Texas A&M.
However, I'm picking the Gators because they have a better defense and one of the best special team units in the country. I like what I saw from Florida quarterback Jeff Driskel last week and expect him to improve each week. While Tennessee did look impressive in their opening win over NC State two weeks ago, keep in mind that the Wolf Pack was only an 8-5 team last year in the ACC, and only beat Connecticut 10-7 last week. Despite being on the road, the Gators are the more talented team and will get another huge road win in a hostile environment.
