Phil Steele seems bullish on Tennessee

Our oline wasn’t solid last year. And neither was our qb play. But we do return a ton of players and have a easier schedule. That along with Pruitt having been here for a while now should be good. I was even really impressed with him saying he needed to do a better job of connecting with his players. That was pretty good for him to admit

I just simply cannot buy off on the O line prematurely. I have to see an O line that comes out of the gate steamrolling people, zero confusion about assignments and scheme, doesn’t get rattled when a D gives them multiple looks, clicking like it’s second nature to them. Desperately need to get back to the days of our meat grinding O lines of the 90s. If we come out and look confused and lethargic vs Ga State, et al...Lord help us.

Didn't quite happen in the last two games? Uh. Half the team gave up and we got boat raced twice, once by a team that we out talented big time.

I'm listening to some guys on the radio discuss whether UTK has a game breaker threat on the roster. Outside the secondary, they only named Gooden as a disruptor who might cause a turnover that breaks a game open.
Ran out of gas as a team. If you didn't want to work, you didn't play. The ones that did got tired. They got some back up this year and the ones that stayed are now much bigger. I think I saw a post on here where we went from 3 300+ pound players last year to 15 or more this year. I think that will show on the field this year.

6 wins would be an improvement
in the most literal sense of the term, yes.

no one would get excited about it though....and i wouldn't blame them.....it's not reason to fire anyone either. but 6-6 in year 2 would be disappointing.
