I am NOT saying that Garrett isn't a talented player.... but he is EASILY the most overhyped defensive lineman I can remember. About 2/3's of his sacks have come against OOC opponents.... most of them weak.

By comparison, 17 of Barnett's 20 career sacks came against SEC opponents.

Yeah I agree. Barnett is 1st team IMO as well.

Yes I believe so; although we only passed for 178 yards total. Most of the offense was on the ground.

Are you saying Barnett plays down to the competition, takes games off, or gets manhandled by weak opponents? I'm not sure I follow you. :p

Love Dobbs, but I can quickly think of 3 better qbs nationally.....Watson, Mayfield and Kelly. Dobbs is easily one of the best in the country IMHO, but not as good as any of those 3.

Agreed !! I'm looking forward to UT v TAMU ! Barnett is going to have a " coming out party" for those who have underestimated him to this point !

And on a side note what has Carl Lawson done to warrant second team consideration ?!He's not even an All-SEC candidate, much less All-American !

But seriously, Barnett does take games off against our weaker OOC schedule. I can't blame him, he's a young kid. I think it will be different this year since this is a resume year

I think its funny that he has carl lawson 2nd team and guy only has like 30 something tackles, 5 sacks, and 10 tfl. Not to mention he has only played 5 less games than Barnett. Sure he might have talent, but he sure hasn't shown it on the field.
