Phil Steele ranks Montana #12 in FCS

haha! what the hell is mtsu? is that where the great people of tennessee learn all their "marketable skills" that transfer so well to other places? haha, i can't even type it without laughing hysterically.

Next time you fly on a corporate or commercial flight, there's a good chance one of the pilots is a MTSU grad.

Ship something UPS or Fedex, same scenario.

cool. i didn't know what the abbreviation was. sounds like a good school.

i feel a bit embarrassed that i've not heard of that school until now.

montana plays american rules.

I was much more embarrassed about the Vanderbilt loss in 2005.

No doubt. Worst game I ever attended in person including the BS return against Memphis. Consecutive Bowl streak ended by losing in a must win "showdown" game against Vandy. Nothing has been more embarrassing.

Autzen is loud , but I think it's a bit overrated as far as pure decibel level. I can't think of it ever reaching the absurd idiotic level that Neyland reached after recovering the fumble and scoring the winning TD in that 98 Arkansas game. Or that FG win against Florida in 04.

The fact that we are even talking about this is stupid and embarassing. Should they be overlooked? No. Are we going to stomp the sh!t out of them? yes. end of story.

No need to worry they'll be no more games with Matt Simms at QB, that was the problem all along in the UAB game..... Also I'm sick of the Montana hype around here, bring em on, we are gonna b!tch slap those fckers hard. Mark it down.

Hell yes!!!!! +1

haha, oregon has been verified at 127+ dB, and Washington has been verified at the highest ever. i think lsu is up there, but according to actual measurements, it looks like the nw rules the noise game.

you should ask Nate Longshore his opinion

man google will make a fortune when they expand to Montana. Seems like it's a completely untapped market

let's try this one again because i can't expect miracles. i know of him, but i don't know him personally to a degree sufficient to ask him his opinion on the dB readout during the game. reading comprehension, although very unlikely to ever pervade your area, would serve it well, haha.

google yielded this:

“I think the shear [sic, haha] size of that place [Neyland Stadium] was intimidating,” said California quarterback Nate Longshore. “It was amazing to see a stadium that big.”

"It's static noise. You can't hear anything. You go up and down the line, your wide receivers, your running backs, your tight ends, nobody can hear. Nobody."

-Nate Longshore

but i can't find anything about him relaying the dB readout from the meter you have suggested that he was monitoring during the game. does "man google" have a different search formula than google?

so, i can't find anything anywhere on longshore's dB readout. this makes me think it either doesn't exist, or it has been suppressed by the cia, nsa, or like agency. any tips on how to find this information would be appreciated.

You're outta your mind. No way. Montana is a FAR cry better than UTM, WKU, or UAB.

Lol, WKU and UAB would 21 skunk Montana 9 times out of 10. UTM is probably right on par with them.

I don't think some of you guys who are taking them seriously because of their records the past few yers understand the concept of the FCS.

It's a baby step above highschool. Most of the players at my alma mater could start there.

Whearas WKU and UAB may suck, they are still D1.

haha! nice try. i thought you were serious for a moment. it's weird because some guys actually seem to believe what you wrote. i guess it's understandable for them to be so ignorant because i had never heard of mtsu before yesterday, haha.

2009 .947 89-5 29.1
2010 .913 63-6 27.4
Total .890 842-104 24.4

This is really all that was needed in this thread

If a ton of stuff goes our way (TOs, big plays, special teams, etc.), we have that slim chance of winning. Like 1 in 15, or 1 in 20, at best. If we play reasonably well, we'll lose by 2-4 touchdowns. If we don't, you start seeing the ugly scores. Worst case scenario a UT-Martin like game of 50-7 or something. My guess is we lose 10 times out of 20 by about 21-28 points
