Losses last year against 7-4 Cal Poly and 6-5 Weber St (late in the season). Better than those teams you listed? Maybe. FAR cry better? Doubtful.

UT in a wash. Their only shot at it staying respectable is the fact that it's the season opener, and a tornado destroys the stadium at halftime.

No need to worry they'll be no more games with Matt Simms at QB, that was the problem all along in the UAB game..... Also I'm sick of the Montana hype around here, bring em on, we are gonna b!tch slap those fckers hard. Mark it down.

Sounds like 09' till now they've dropped in talent just glancing at QB and RB which is what usually wins a lower ranked team games. I'm knocking on wood but if we were to lose to them DD should be fired on the spot before he makes it to the locker room. Aside from money staying instate this should be a better opener than UTM

I saw these guys play up here in Colorado against Northern Colorado last year, and they looked darn good...wouldn't be surprised if they put in a bid to play in FBS in the next 10 years or so. Montana will definitely come to play against Tennessee so hopefully we do the same!

In the past 5 years, Northern Colorado has won 9 games total. They're the Vandy...no, worse than Vandy...of I-AA, which is beyond terrible.

Feel like we will be able to pass it on them well and shut down their passing game.

I think we will play conservative at first but open it up in the second qtr.

here is how I think it goes.

Q1- 7-0 Vols
HT- 17-3 Vols
Q3- 31-3 Vols
Final- 41-10 Vols

Yeah I am very aware the Northern Colorado is absolutely terrible...Just sayin' I was able to see these guys in action last year and they looked like they know how to play the game of football and play it well. Plus they have 7 returning on each side of the ball according to article so Tennessee has to make sure they prepare for this game like we do Florida or Bama...we don't want another Wyo game...

Melvie, we have good young talent of 4 stars, with none on Montana, and we play in the SEC, the toughest conference in football. We will be absolutely fine. In fact if we get beat by Montana we wont win a game all season.

Offensive line may be big, but it looks like their rushing yards have been declining. Combined with the lack of returning running backs that could make it tough to run the ball on us, playing into our strength (secondary).

I've read many of Orediggers (Griz fan) post on here and he continually has posted that no Montana fans are actually predicting a win and at that has stated that you guys should win by 4 TD's....but some of you guy's arrogance is comical. Tennesse has many 4 maybe 5 star recruits but any knowledgable football fan should know that how many 4 or 5 star athletes you recruit doesn't automatically transform into wins. Coaching and chemistry has a lot to do with it. Us griz fans had to suffer thru these types of issues. In the 4 games we lost last year we had 12 TO's which I truly believe can be partly attributed to a lack of discipline by our new coaching staff. I can guarantee you that as a true Vol fan you can name dozens and dozens of your current and past 4 star recruits that amounted to crap or didn't mesh with your team. I agree with the majority of Griz fans when I say you guys should and will win by 4 tds maybe more. But to absolutely right our football team off as a joke for a football team is absolutely ridiculous. Top FCS teams knock off teams with your talent level on occasion. For example: Jacksonville St. over Ole Miss, James Madison over Virginia Tech both just last year. Again I'm not predicting a win but our football team is no pushover and I REALLY hope your team overlooks us. With that hope it's a great game and can't wait to experience some football in Tennesse. Good luck to both and seriously hope we don't get beat up injury wise by you guys.:rock:

The reasonable fans know we can't overlook anyone. There is no reason we should lose but CDD won't let our kids overlook any team.
