Phil is tired of losing...

At the very least we were hanging on by a thread in all three of those games.

It is hard to watch and objectively say UT looked like championship material.

I agree. I also think the same thing every year when watching Ohio St. get demolished by the SEC.

I never saw the team turn around. They had one quality win all year. They were lucky as sin not to lose to SC, KY and Vandy. I guess we were watching
Different games?
they were on the brink of another 2005 and made it to Atlanta. It wasn't pretty but I don't care how you get there just get there. You didn't think the team that played in Atlanta was improved over the team that took a thrashing from Florida and Alabama?

It's hard for me to say that a somewhat close loss to a beat-to-heck LSU team using a back up QB constitutes improvement.

there was a big difference in how the team played against the eventual national champion.

The team we played in the SEC Championship wasn't the same team that played Ohio St. Had we the same healthy LSU team that Ohio St did, I don't think the SEC Championship would have been as close as it was.

Could Ohio State be the new Buffalo?

I always felt they were more like Florida St. was in the 90s, especially the late 90s. They kept making championship games or got close to national championships, but never won it, except for the one time they did in 99.

heck you could say that OSU's championship in 02 was like FSU's in 93 if you want to also or that the 02= the 99 as well

We WON the East last year; He has won the SEC and a MNC. What gives. I just don't understand the venom.

Winning the East is nice and all, but has winning the SEC always been what we're shooting for? Best of 6? Or best of 12? This "we won the East" business is something Phil and Hamilton have suddenly propped up since we can't actually win the SEC. Lowering expectations since we aren't meeting our goals.

Yea Phil won the SEC. 10 years ago. How long are you allowed to coast off a NC? It's the best we could hope for, but that also doesn't mean we're allowed to sink afterwards.
