i don't think phil fulmer needs to return to coaching, but for those of you out there bashing the man lets not forget at one time this is who recruited the likes of peyton manning, al wilson, leonard little, jamal lewis, albert haynes worth, scott wells, john henderson, chad clifton, fred weary and so many more players there were extraordinary. This man put together a couple sec titles a national title and won the east several time. So by all means if you really call yourself a vol fan then you would not be negative towards the head coach that led the feared and respected tennessee volunteers through the 90's and early 2000's.
It would appear some of you have never met the man or spent 5 min in his presence. He is STILL highly revered and loved by the kids who played for him. Ask Peyton if there was another coach out there that he would have rather played for??? If he was so horrible, why does Peyton and others STILL keep a relationship?
As for me, I have known the man personally for over 15 years. You can't find a finer person or man to lead young kids and make them into men. One fact is for sure when it comes to Bama, he's 11 -5.
The man bleeds orange. He has never wanted another job. THAT is the reason you haven't seen him go elsewhere. It is definitely not because he has not been asked.
Still thinking we are getting what we deserve for letting him go in the first place. Give him the funds to bring an all star group of coaches in and pair that with his Orange heart and there is no way we don't go from zero to hero over night.
With the mess we have now in the AD department, I don't know of anyone that can fix it. The AD needs a complete overhaul. One thing for sure, we need someone who cares as much about our school as we do.
Probably , but the AD job wasn't interested in him
Phil Fulmer has contacted some assistant coaches including Kevin Steele and Philip Montgomery. Not sure for where he is assembling a staff together but seems like he is headed somewhere. Interesting because it is right before NY Hall of Fame which is like summit to hire coaches !! Not that I am for or against it but do you guys think he ends up at Auburn or Arky ? How about TN ?

And if he came back both would beat him yearly.
Right and while we look at guys who can't shine his shoes... He will be stepping into the College Football Hall of Fame this week.
We wonder why we get what we get? It is a dang shame we don't give the man his due for what he did right, not the last few years where he had to deal with Hamilton.
I would still take his last season at 5 & 7 over the embarrassment of what we just went through with Dooley and Kiffin.
