you don't really think UT would bring back Sanders as a head coach do you??? if he's not good enough to be an OC, there is no way he'll ever be a HC at UT

No, not that I think Sanders will be back. He won't. Just pointing out the irony that I think Hamilton's "search criteria" would not exclude Sanders, except of course that it's Sanders.

Sorry if I misled anyone.

Mich State = 0 NC
even with Saban.
Put Tennessee in the another conference and I believe you would have seen more success. With the rise of Ga, LSU, Auburn, and even recently Arkansas, any team in any one conference would have a hard time doing good. Look at FL this year, won NC, still could'nt finish out the SEC undefeated (almost two losses) and still beat the pants off OSU, who many thought was the best in the Nation (especially ESPN)

We're not in another conference, and we don't want to BE in another conference. Hell...toss out the collapse against LSU, and the woodshed job we got at Arkansas, and it's a good year. Toss in (gasp) a bowl win, and we'd be just fine.

Theres a rumor on Rivals that Fulmer's wife is pushing him to retire after this year. Im not sure how credible this is and certaintly cant picture cpf leaving until he is forced to. Have any of yall heard this rumor too?
This thread might as well be thrown in with the Fulmer main thread. It can be interputed as somewhat derogatory no?

Derogatory? No. The thread began, and centered on, comments made by Phil himself as to his thoughts on retirement. All we (I) did was factor in the pressure we all know he's under, and the possible effect on that timeline. Of course, me being a "NegaPhil", it's too easy to lump my comments under that header.

Personally, I think it will take an SEC Championship in the next couple of years, AND a BCS bowl win, to get Phil to 2012.

Forget about us NegaPhils...we don't write the five and six digit checks to the UTASF. But those that do are starting to rumble about Phil's recent record.

Not derogatory...just speculation.
