Hey, this is a team that finds ways to win. KUDOS to them for a good season and a great 5 or 6 game run of wins!!

Despite our embarrassing performances at times during the year and the short comings of our staff... we are playing for the second biggest goal that a Tennessee team can have next week, the SEC Championship.

If we can't support the team and staff this week, there really isn't a point to being a fan. This week is what its all about.
I agree....The Vols have a chance to do something special....Win a championship,This is what it is all about....Lets go VOLS!

GO VOLS

I'm so fed up with our d when we have the lead. I have never seen a defense who so consistently laid down and let a lead go to waste. Why did we stop blitzing in the second half after it worked so well in throwing Woodson of his game in the first half? Also, what is the deal with our soft db pressure once we have a lead? We put no pressure on Woodson in the 2nd half and played so far off the recievers they got back in the game largely due to consistent 7 and 8 yard easy passes.

A problem I saw was they were consistently playing a form of cover two. The corners were taking away the slants, but that left some room for screens and in the red zone, fades. I think we got burnt 4 times on fades around the 10-yard line because we were taking away the slant, but the safeties couldn't help over top.

Towards the end, my wife thought I was stealing their plays because I was saying,"here comes the fade," before the snap.

Guess it doesn't take binoculars to know what the other team is thinking.

He might actually be at the game. I know that he has been negative for a while, but he is as big a Vol fan as any of us and is very happy about the win. Or, he had a heart attack yelling at Fulmer and didn't make it. Let us know you are still alive Ras.:)

I'm so fed up with our d when we have the lead.

I felt like this one was on the offense in the second half. We should have put up more points, and had fewer drops to help spread the field more so we could keep running. In the end the boys got it done though, and that's all the matters. These are the kinds of wins you remember the rest of your life "that time I was in KY and we blocked a field goal in OT to keep it going and eventually win the SEC East."

I know BYU was being cynical, but my two cents are... worth about two cents. I feel the coaching staff gets an overall C for the year so far. Any win gets an A in my book simply because parity has come a LONG way in just the past 5 years. Especially in a year when top 10 teams are constantly losing to even unranked opponents. I can handle the loss at Cal...that was competetive and turned on only a few plays. Its the embarassing losses at FLA and ALA that make the anti-Fulmer crowd have justification to complain. I'll cheer the VOLS if they have a Notre Damish season to the end. But who wants to get beaten, no not beaten...slaughtered by your biggest rivals? Those two games really had me agreeing that Fulmer's no longer able to keep up with the Jones's. If those games had been 14 point or less losses, I'd think there's no reason at all to even think about giving CPF the axe. But to the anti crowd...who ya gonna get? Who out there is gonna do better? Last time I checked, no one in the SEC has a better SEC record, and there's only a 1 game difference in overall records amongst the top teams in the SEC. It would have to be a Bill Cower type hire for me. Otherwise, I don't think there is that much that is broken to fix.
