I believe there is a rule that you cant officiate a game where you went to school so how do you propose they vet each official?
I believe that’s only if he went to Alabama in college. Which I have no idea if he did but the OP said high school.

Not sure which ref on this crew it was, but I believe it was Chad Green who missed a number of calls. Whether it was Green or another name, it was the young-looking white dude. Pruitt was in his face the entire game.

That was Ryan Hagan. Funny thing he lives in Nashville now but like I posted earlier went to Vestavia Hills in Birmingham

If all of this true, I want to show up at any other presentations or talks this guy gives for the rest of his life to interrupt him right as he is getting started. I used to call it "Kanye Westing" someone, but it will henceforth forever be known as "Ryan Haganing."

Nah I don't think we should just let this go. Don't know about you but I've had enough of this $hit. This isn't isolated.

The ref that ran in and stopped our trick play, he went to high school in Birmingham Alabama. His name is Ryan Hagan. I know cause I played against him in high school football and wrestling. He is an Alabama fan. Having him as a part of the officiating crew for an Alabama game should not have happened. Piss poor officiating from the SEC and to benefit alabama as usual.

Figures

So, if Jason McArthur had been unable to complete his Center Judge duties, would Jason McArthur have stepped in for him?

It would be interesting to see the general backgrounds on these guys and who grew up a fan of which school, whether they went there or not.

I think it's a travesty the SEC office is located in Birmingham. The whole SEC staff can't help but be influenced by being less than an hour from Tuscaloosa. I'm not suggesting a conspiracy theory, but if I see Bama gear every day here in TN, you know they are bombarded with it. SEC office should be in Memphis.

I just have to be honest here...I am still unable to shake off that game. Primarily, the refs and secondarily JG at the goal line. I have tried, but man...we had a viable opportunity to really win that game. Would we have? I do not know...but we will never find out because the opportunity for a fair game was stolen from us.

1. Holding on JJ TD
2. Refs stopping play on wildcat
3. Phantom PI calls
4. Missing the headlock and bear hug holding calls
5. JG getting hit in the chin
6. Taylor’s unsportsmanlike conduct
7. JG’s screw up on 4th and goal

I just don’t know how to recover from knowing that this game really was winnable, but the refs did not allow it to be decided on the field and instead took the outcome into their own hands.

When was the last time we won a game the Vanderbilt loving Hubert Owens officiated?
The kids would better police their own game.... I know as a kid we did.

Are we talking here about the inexplicable halt to our play when we were down close to the goal line? If so, did they EVER explain WHY they stopped that play? (I was watching in a noisy place and never heard if a reason was given for halting the play.) Thanks and I'll hang up and listen.

Reminds me of the LSU basketball game last year!

One can be assured if Hubert Owens is calling the game the refs are going to be got garbage at best. I tune out any game I can where he is involved because inevitably he is going to screw one team or the other
